The Monitor is great picture-wise. This is the first 1440p monitor I bought. Unfortunately it did not end well. The motion blur, no matter what I did in my pc, game, or on the screens options. The motion blur was just too much. It made me sick with how much motion it was. I am coming from a 1080p monitor that had almost 0 motion blur so it made this monitor difficult. Another annoyance it had was that it promoted itself with numerous cords. But all I received when I unboxed it was a Display port and the power cable. I used display port primarily, but the HDMI would have been useful as a back up (probably being too picky). Another thing, the weight. Even without the stand, it started to bend my monitor mount. My 1080p monitor was the same size, but so much lighter. I would game and slowly the weight would keep bending the mount to the point the screen rotated slightly. If you are use to a higher motion blur, understand LGs option navigation system for settings, and are prepared for the weight of it. This is a great option, just not a option for myself.

Monitor works as it should. Some recent reviews are saying they have some QC issues just hope I’ll get lucky.

butttt i cant seem to get White to be brighter, compared to my HP 24 1080, the whites are much brighter and more white. Only gripe i have so far, everything else about this monitor is very impressive! Highly recommend

Gaming monitor for my son. He loves it. No need for a 4k when you are viewing 27 inches. 2k works great. Ive read that 4k can put a strain on the eyes when using smaller monitors. Not much to say here other than; this LG 27GN800-B 27 Inch Ultragear QHD (2560 x 1440) has a beautiful picture, has a quick response time...and doesnt break the bank. The money saved in not purchasing a higher end 4k monitor will allow us to purchase a second LG. Win win!

Not super bright/ HRD isnt good. But for the price I cant complain. Had no dead pixels. Speakers dont work, not that it matters too much because who cares about monitors built in speakers, but still. Kinda leaves a bad impression.

Unfortunately, this product has a lot of 5 stars, so many people will be tricked into buying this. There are probably much better monitors for this price. The HDR is super washed out, it looks much better with it off. The picture is really nice and games look great. As far as 1440p & 144hrz, it delivers. Also, I did not know that there were no built in speakers. For this price, there are countless other options that has built in sound. Overall, keep looking around. There is probably something better you can spend your money on.

  • Good enough.

Overall, this is a fantastic 1440p gaming-oriented monitor. The colors are crisp and the response times are silky smooth. But theres a few disappointments I have with this monitor that shouldnt be a thing at this price point: -The ips glow is particularly bad on this monitor. Normally Id be fine with a drawback that leagues all IPS display but this one is noticeably bad. On the bottom left corner, theres a noticeable orange-ish glow (the tint I suspect, is caused by the matte coating) thats notable even on non-dark content thats somewhat distraction. Apparently, this is a side-effect of LGs nano IPS display tech, but I not direct reference for it. If youre particularly bother by IPS glow I think this one issue might be enough for you look elsewhere. -The stand is terrible. Im use to monitor stands that only have tilt, but this one just feels overly cheap for the price point. You can actually force the monitor wobble side to side and left to right a bit, like the monitor connection is loose or something -This might be a bit of a nitpick, but why include a USB port if its non-useable by the user? At least give people the option to update the firmware or something.

It’s a great monitor, it worth the price 1440p gaming and 144 Hz, and it has a lot of features. Make sure to wait for when the price drops. The stand is very high quality.

I was initially unhappy with the warm colors, but it has an option to change the light temperature. I turned it to as cold as it goes and now I am happy. It is a good quality 2k, 144 hz, everything it says. Do think about the graphics card you have before looking for a 2k+ monitor though. My fps was impacted (2080 base GPU) by around 5-10 fps on games I made 60-90 on Ultra settings before. The smoothness of the refresh rate is very nice, soft surface with no glare/side angled color inverting, and plenty of settings to customize to your liking on color and lighting.

Mine arrived in perfect condition. No pixel failures and no discernible backlight bleeding. In very dark rooms it does have some IPS glow (as all IPS panels do). I bought this version because I do not need a stand (I have a monitor arm with vesa mount): the stand it comes with is too low and not very adjustable (Compare to the LG 27GN850-B if you need a stand) It uses the MV270QHM_NF1 panel from BOE, as shown it the photo of the service menu. I calibrated mine and the colors are great. In my opinion, this was the best choice for: - under $400 - 1440p - use on a monitor arm - higher FPS than business or art displays - good text rendering (the well rated Gigabyte M27Q has some issues with text legibility because of its BGR pixel layout)
