> 3 daySo Ive been thinking about getting a monitor for a long time and after searching reviews, this monitor seemed to come up in the top 5 alot so I thought Id give it a shot. Wow its pretty amazing and the lag response is insane. I cant really give a great break of the features because Im still learning some but when I say response time is a night and day difference it is. If anyone remembers going from dial up to cable( yes Im that old), this is a great comparison. Ive always heard PC guys brang about skill but its not skill when Im getting a full second or two to look at them before they can shoot me back(fps) in warzone or even simple tdm matches. If youve been on the fence for awhile, get off and get this monitor you wont regret it. If anything goes bad with it I will update my post, but its a night and day difference from my tv( which is top of line gaming tv 3k plus in price) so not a mid tier tv. Amazing monitor

> 3 dayIt does give a really nice picture. Although I highly disagree with all of these reviews (here and on the web) where they say the viewing angle is pretty good; its actually pretty bad. For instance, if I have a dark background everything looks great straight on, but when I stand up and look at it, it takes on a reddish hue. I have an old 2nd monitor (Acer S231HL) connected via DVI that doesnt do that at all. It has to be 15+ years old. Other than that, my main complaint with this monitor is that the windows on it are always getting moved all over the place whenever it comes back on after a power off. Windows on my second monitor get moved over to this monitor; other windows on this monitor get moved from the top right to the top middle-right; icons lined up to the left get rearranged, etc. None of this ever happened on my previous HDMI monitor, only this high DPI Display Port monitor. Its actually a really big deal rather than a minor annoyance after youve been having to rearrange them several times daily.

> 3 dayThis is a good monitor for sure, it was very easy to get set up on its stand that comes with it. The picture is very clear and crisp, everything looks smooth when using it to game. The only negative thing about this monitor is that the picture kind of looks like it has a backwards curve to it, now this may just be because i was using a curved monitor for years before i got this monitor so my eyes may just need to adjust to using a flat screen monitor again. Other than that this is a great monitor, also the stand that comes with it is not overly large so it does not take up much room on your desk. The stand can also adjust for height or even tilt if you want to use your monitor in a portrait view instead of the standard landscape view. you can also tilt the monitor to have the screen angled a bit more down or up.

> 3 dayColors are MORE vibrant and immersive than 1080p without a doubt, 144hz, few other modes built in. The only thing i will say is the brightness isnt as bright as i would like it to be to be honest (tbh). If you have a dark room or like to use your PC at night then the brightness is plenty. At night ill leave the brightness at like 45-65 cause it gets up there lol

> 3 dayI have other monitors. I had some in the 160 hz range and others in the 144 but they were maybe at best first or second generation monitors. I had some that were curved and most of them are flat and they worked great for the time that they came out the newest being nearly 4 years old now. But THIS monitor is different. It has all the bells and whistles that a modern gamer would need as well as being a better format than standard monitors in my opinion. It is simply amazing. Sure there are 4k monitors at the higher 244 hz standard but you gotta pay a lot for them and this is a BARGAIN for what you get. I mean by far the best I have ever owned. Install is a snap. Looks great in HDR mode and when playing games in RTX mode there can not be enough words to describe how good it looks. It is simply amazing. Worth every penny I spent and got chewed out by the wife for. I may be in thee doghouse but with this monitor the Doghouse is not so bad!

> 3 dayMonitor is awesome, Im currently using NVIDIA GTX1060 3GB GPU will upgrade to RTX 3070 when Available, in any case I am using display port and its operating at 144HZ. Everything is crisp and clear after adjusting some setting on NVidia control panel, ****IMPORTANT NOTE **** the display port cable has a hard to notice button nob, you need to press that button to remove cable from the Monitor and PC otherwise you may break it pulling/yanking it out, I remember someone writing a review on that matter stating it broke inside his monitor. I had same issue pulling it out at first, I heard faint snap noise as if under pressure, so closer inspection on cable I saw the black button nob. once I pressed it, the cable pulled out with ease. looking on the bottom side of display port you will see the 2 teeth that locks it into place, In my opinion a STUPID DESIGN. I will leave this at 5 star rating since Im reviewing the quality of monitor (5), Cable a (3 star) because of design.

> 3 dayI have about 139 hours on this monitor as of now. The first 20 were great. No issues. Really happy with it as its a MASSIVE step up from my 4k TVs latency/framerate. I built a desk specifically for gaming and it really has helped having a very fast monitor like this. But after 20 hours It started flicking black randomly. I have no idea what is causing it, its just totally random. It might flicker one day, or it might not flicker for two days. I suspect it might be G-SYNC but hard to tell if its that or the monitor. When it does flicker it puts my games in the background which could get me killed in certain games as it not only lowers the framerate but screws with the window. Im in the process of trying a different Display port cable, then DDU and driver reinstall. If its this monitor then Its getting 1 star and I cant return it. I have to go though a headache of a RMA and I dont expect that to go smoothly. Ill try to update this in the next month or two.

> 3 dayI like this monitor, hs a nice crisp display and many adjustments can be made. The stans is very nice and beefy. I just had to take a star off, because it does not swivel side to side. It swivels in every other direction. Im using this for streaming TV right now also, due to circumstances, and it works great. I just have to rotate the whole stand to angle it towards my bed. Overall good monitor.

> 3 dayWhat I liked: + Great response times: I dont think anyone is going to miss their 144hz TN panel after using this. + Near perfect gamma 2.2 tracking on default gamma 2 mode + Average Delta-E around 1.5: not bad + Amazing color gradient handling when set to 10bit mode + No BLB or dead pixels What I disliked: - Default whitepoint is too cool (measured 7200K) and none of the provided modes gave an actual 6500K. Luckily, with a colorimeter in-hand (Colormunki Display) I was able to calibrate to 6500K with minimal loss of contrast by adjusting the RGB gains. - IPS glow isnt any better than my old IPS monitors. Youd think now that tablet and laptop IPS panels have mostly resolved this issue that monitor panels would do that too. Other notes - Contrast measured at 870:1, a bit low for an IPS panel although I cannot subjectively notice a difference in black levels compared to my other IPS monitor that measured 1150:1. If youre looking for deeper blacks youre better off with a 3000:1 VA. - Gamma mode 2 is the only gamma mode that was calibrated at the factory. Changing the gamma mode to modes 1,3, or 4 resulted in a white point of 6300K, contrast ratio increased to 1060:1, however the gamma tracking is really bad on these modes. - Gamma mode 1 results in an approx gamma of 2.0, mode 3 is approx gamma 2.5, mode 4 is approx gamma 2.3, but again the gamma curves on these modes are messed up and do not conform closely to these numbers so I ended up using gamma mode 2 and just correcting the white point.
