> 3 dayThis monitor is amazing when it comes to picture quality and use as a monitor. I have a few concerns though... I continually hear creaking from the monitor, not sure why this is. It is firmly secured, it also squeaks when touched. I have yet to get the audio to work via display port, but I use an audio interface and studio monitors, so Im not needing the audio enough to make a concerted effort to resolve that issue. You, however, may find this annoying if you planned on using the built in speakers. Overall, the picture quality is perfect. The better resolution makes a huge difference in screen real estate compared to other 27 in monitors, with images also looking sharper and true to color.

Greater than one weekI like this monitor, hs a nice crisp display and many adjustments can be made. The stans is very nice and beefy. I just had to take a star off, because it does not swivel side to side. It swivels in every other direction. Im using this for streaming TV right now also, due to circumstances, and it works great. I just have to rotate the whole stand to angle it towards my bed. Overall good monitor.

Greater than one weekThis monitor was the cherry on top of a major system upgrade. I was running a GTX 1080, but on an old 4790k, so I made the jump to the 10700k and paired with this, the 1080 finally gets to fulfill its destiny. The Panel: First off, let me just mention how awesome Adaptive Sync is. You GFX card brand shouldnt have to be a factor in picking your monitor. This is my first sync monitor so I wasnt sure what to expect, but all my games are running buttery smooth regardless of FPS so thats working great. The IPS was also a main attraction, as my last AOC monitor was my first IPS panel and I loved it. The fact they make gaming panels with it now is fantastic. Its also REALLY bright, like burn your retinas bright on white pages on stock settings. Bottom line, the picture quality on this screen and everything Ive loaded on it has looked beautiful so far. As far as response time, honestly I dont pay much attention to that, so if youre looking for how accurate the ms timing advertised is, I cant help you there. The Stand: So, the stand confused the hell out of me, because I was trying to find a height adjust before attaching it to the monitor, but when Id lower it, itd pop right back up. Turns out its balanced perfectly with the monitor weight and that pressure just holds it at the height you want. I like mine at lowest setting and the stand hasnt raised it under pressure yet. It supports tilt and rotate, but not swivel... which I dont need, but find odd. IMO less things to break down. Accessories: The good news is, they include a DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB cable which the software for the monitor used for hardware updates (mine was up to date out of box). The bad news is theyre all short AF. I get that most people dont need longer, but people with a larger desk area or that want to do proper cable managemnet will need to provide their own longer cables. Conclusion: Very happy with this monitor, wish I could afford 2 more for a triple setup. Shipped with no damage or dead pixels, so thats a win.

Greater than one weekIve only had this monitor for about a week but I feel like I have had enough time to make up my mind about it. I came from the VG248QE(TN panel) and immediately I could tell that the colors were a vibrant beauty and not at all saturated... except for the color red which is a little bit redder than it should be and thus caused Caucasians to have a little pink tint on them( you could say they are colored now, so its a welcome change of pace). The change from 1080p to 1440p was also something instantly noticeable. Free sync works great with my AMD GPU. HDR Effect feels like my eyes are getting attacked by a box of crayons, it not bright enough and it doesnt have local dimming so steer away from this if you want True HDR. As a competitive gamer I can without a shadow of a doubt say that the 144hz is giving me a gaming edge in Solitaire and Minesweeper. Unlike other gaming monitors this one didnt go with the disgusting tootsie roll RGB gamer aesthetic. Build feels and looks premium. The stand is metal and the monitor is plastic, but it feels like quality plastic, if you know what I mean. NSFW content looks great too but youll have to shill out cash to see content in 1440p. All in all, great monitor I recommend it!

> 3 dayI wish it had built in speakers but besides that I love it. Bring it bright light doesn’t make it hard to see and the screen itself is beautiful

> 3 dayI bought this with the idea that I would easily have a easy advantage over other consumers of a different product due to lower resolution and low fps, and sure enough, I was wrong but at least the visuals look nice and the gaming experience has now become more enjoyable due to the upgraded hertz on the monitor. Warzone 2 is even more lit now. I’m better than the majority, thank you. Minecraft also runs amazing with mods.

> 3 dayI purchased used from the Amazon warehouse. The monitor arrived in retail packaging that had been taped back up. All of the contents were there. All manufacturers shipping foam and protection was there. The only problem was the speakers in the monitor are dead. The product was listed as in good used condition. Thats why I took one star off. Item was not as described.

> 3 dayLG has certainly set the bar here with these monitors for both quality and price. I think a lot of people will be debating the LG 27GL83A-B and the LG 27GL850-B; I’ve had both and I immediately knew the decision was to keep the LG 27GL850-B. I was blown away when first viewing images on the 27GL850 when comparing to a TN panel, and this was not something that I felt with the 27GL83A at all. My specific unit has no noticeable IPS glow (orange tint) and has very minimal back light bleed that would only be noticeable in a completely dark room. Compared to its lower priced counterpart, I think the Nano IPS display makes a world of difference for quality and the ability to reduce that IPS glow and back light bleed. Blacks are deeper and more consistent on the 27GL850A and colors really pop on the wide color gamut panel. Pros: + 1440p @ 144 Hz + Good viewing angles + Gsync certified and Adaptive-Sync ready + Supports wide color gamut and provides a very good sRGB emulation profile for those that do not like the saturated look + Nano IPS provides decent black levels for IPS panel standards + No IPS glow visible to eye (specific to my monitor) + Very minimal back light bleed (specific to my monitor) Cons: - Advertised 1ms (you’ll need to select the “fastest” response time setting, but you greatly sacrifice quality for minimal benefit) - Contrast level is lacking due to panel technology - Stand is on the cheaper side - HDR support is a gimmick (can accept HDR signal but this monitor only has a 350 nits level)
