Lixit Chinchilla Dust (27oz)

My Chinchillas are pretty picky. They dont like most kaytee items, in fact, they got sick off of a kaytee item. So, this is the best quality and price ratio.

As other people have said this is false advertisement. What is depicted is a 3lb jar with a chinchilla on it. What you actually get is a tiny half-full bottle with a little gerbil on it. Not worth what theyre charging. Go to petsmart and spend $8 on a 3lb jar and save yourself the obnoxious amount of time it takes to ship these worthless products.

Good dust..just smells more than others do, at least to me any way. But he loves it and it serves its purpose.

This an excellent cleanser for my chinchillas but I received the smallest jar when I ordered the largest.

My chinchilla loves this stuff. It came with very high recommendations, and as Ive never tried another brand, I have nothing to compare it to. Aside from my inexperience with other products, this product is a treat for my chinchilla. He gets into it immediately when I put it out for him and sometimes its hard to get him out! It keeps his coat looking great, and he seems to love it, so Id say its a good buy.

I wasnt aware that ground pumice stone is basically volcanic ash, which is WAY too fine for hamsters as it kicks up a lot of dust. I ended up buying a generic, 50 lbs. bag of play sand from a local hardware store for $5.00.

The ENTIRE room I allowed my pet to bath in is covered in dust. We have a fan with an air filter and it has completely clogged it up. Sitting in the room while the dustbath is being used caused my husband and I to have coughing fit. This cant be good for human (or animal) respiratory health.
