Lord of War

The first time I saw this movie, I wasnt sure what exactly to make of it. There were moments that were rather fun (such as various instances where Yuri has to think of clever ways to avoid being arrested), some moments that seemed narratively forced, and other moments where I was spellbound by the emotionally powerful dialogue and performances in front of me. Overall, Im glad I watched and rewatched this movie, and the strong moments of this film will definitely stay with me for a long time.

Nicolas Gage is great in this and the story is very interesting. Would definitely recommend and watch again.

Probably Cages best movie, very much underrated.

Solid and accurate

Reminds you what exactly makes war so horrible-- and how entwined it is even in first world countries. Brilliant acting all around honestly, with certain lines hitting you like a truck. I recommend watching for sure if you can.

Typical Nic Cage fare. Drama, violence, and lots of macho posturing. It will not change your life, but it will amuse you for a couple of hours. This is what he does best now that he doesnt do movies like Leaving Las Vegas.

I saw this in 2005 when it first came out and Ive watched it a few times over the years. It never gets old. Its an amazingly made film and some of the best work Nicholas Cage ever did. The movie is well made. Its an entertaining story. Its just a good movie from start to finish. And it holds up well over the years.

Nick Cages best (serious) film.

This is such an informative and educational movie but such a fantastic movie. Nicolas Cage nails this part 100%. Jared Leto is very good and also Ethan Hawke. Its only of those movies that you dont want to miss a minute of. Nicolas Cage is unbelievably talented. He could play any part. And he has.
