> 3 dayI have this set up on top of my hognose enclosure. I have it on 24/7 on the hot side at around 92F. I think you can plug it into a regulator but I have it on with just a switch with up and down buttons controlling how hot or less hot (because it can’t get cold, lol) you want it. I burned myself a couple of times reaching into the enclosure and accidentally bumping into the lamp. One of the three most recent burn is still healing after 2 weeks. Another thing about burns, I had it too close to the plastic latch on top of the mesh lid and that melted off, as well as the coating on the bulb itself. It’s a great deal and I would be very careful using it.

> 3 dayBlew after only 2 months, and yes i used the correct hood that could handle the output. Guess i should be grateful there was no explosion and my BD is ok.

> 3 dayI like these way more then the red heat lamps. They give off a lot of heat without the light which can mess up chicks sleep/wake cycles. They do smell a little when first used, but not bad. They keep the bedding at 100*+ at about 2 high in a normal heart lamp fixture for the 150 watt version. We will see how long they last

> 3 dayI use this for our leopard gecko. Warm his tank well and dont break after a couple of weeks which can cost a bundle after a while.

> 3 dayMy old cat sleeps on a kennel heating pad bed in the basement. Thats where she likes to sleep. During the winter, I put these heater bulbs into metal clip utility lights aimed at her bed from the top. She liked them immediately. Not to hot. She curls up to sleep right under them.

> 3 dayCompared to the costs of 100 watt ceramic bulbs in pet shops, this price cant be beat. Have also used the 75 watt bulbs from the company and no issues with either wattage. Everything arrived intact and works just as described.

Greater than one weekBought these for my baby chicks. Works great and safer than a heat lamp bulb.

> 3 dayI am reviewing the 150 W. Heating lamp. We have a nice large snake tank set up which the hundred watt system we were using just was not keeping the tank warm enough. Switch to this 150 W unit and it seems to be helping some. Heats up nicely and so far I have had no issues with it. Works as expected. Recommended.
