This was a huge hit as a baby shower gift. Everyone at the shower thought it was a fantastic idea.... Lol. It was actually my daughters idea for our shower gift. Wouldnt suprise me at all if more people start purchasing them for the same reason now.

It is very messy, and I would recommend if you are using any clothes to make sure you are okay with throwing it away. The cast didn’t come out of my items.

Excellent kit! I used another one (not deluxe) for my first pregnancy. The cast sat in the garage for years and crumbled all around the edges, which is why I got the deluxe version. It makes a mess, as would be expected, but is simple and easy to use. It’s a little tricky handling the gauze, which folds over easily and makes ridges. Still have to use the smoothing plaster to see how that works out. Just don’t let a chunk fold over in the casting process, at the end of the gauze strip, it makes a lump. The only negative so far is that the plastic sheeting is terrible. Very flimsy. Buy your own. It was $4 at Target for a great one. Luckily it was on hand for a home birth.

It was super messy but good quality for the price ! Only thing I will warn you about DO NOT FORGET TO USE THE LUBRICANT ! I made this mistake and it was the absolute most painful thing I ever experienced :( like getting a full stomach/chest wax! it was horrible.

This kit was very easy and fun to use. There is alot of powder that get everywhere when you cut the strips and it is very messy when applying however anything you may get on a surface other than the protection sheet they provide does wipe of very easily. I used the provided lubricant and had no troubles with it sticking to my skin at all, in fact after the first layers dried it popped right off and i had to hold it on for the remaining pieces. We made it pretty thick so im not sure on drying times, its still drying! its been almost 3 hours but the shape has held great so far. A little tip os make sure you smear the water around with the paste/plaster w.e. it is and fill in the little holes. Youll know what i mean when you get to that part. It makes a huge differnce in the surface being smooth after it dries. This was very simple to use i feel a ten year old could do a great job. I had my 75 year old grandmother help me do mine and looks fantastic. Super simple and a great price for the memory it holds. I rec this to all new mommy and daddys! I cannot wait to paint mine and hang it up, however im going to wait a bit after my son is born so we can add the details like time and date.

My cousin is having her first baby and this was a perfect gift for her and her husband. They didn’t understand I got them it at first but later noticed that they’ll miss her belly and it’s a great keepsake for them. They love it. Comes as described.

Just do this… you won’t be sorry.

This is a great kit, I used all but one packet as I just did belly cast. I recommend using short strips 6-8 in only as its very difficult to keep straight and smooth with longer strips. Cut all strips ahead of time. Make sure you are comfortable while your caster works. You can layer nicely to prevent irregularities. Helpful also to do one layer at a time. When finished I added a few more strips to reinforce side edges that ended up weaker. Have not used the smoother finish yet as its still drying but highly recommend this kit
