Easy to use, fun to do. Use a lot of vaseline on any part of your body that will have plaster on it, so it won’t hurt to take it off. Use warm to hot water, Trust there’s a difference. LAYERS! it will not be stable if you just put one or two layers, it’ll stay soft. We probably did 3-5 layers and even went back in for any “softer” spots to reinforce it. Deluxe definitely has enough for bottom of belly up to neck with some strips left over :)

**photos of two kits. I have sensitive skin and I did get a little red on removal but no big deal. You get gritty stuff all over too so prepare to shower after. Super messy! Comes with a floor cover which is amazing. Precut the strips!! Youll hate yourself if you dont. Lube up with the lotion (says its natural but smells like baby powder so Im not so sure.) Get a bowl of warm water, wet strips; theyll drip like crazy and slap em on. Some will roll up and youll have to learn when its a goner. Some of my strips were faulty with little to no plaster powder on them. This really is not a job for one person (which I kind of figured but thought Id try.) Im not pregnant but rather have boobs pointing to the east and west of the nations and needed to create a bra form for sewing . It took about 30 minutes for a thin layered chest and tummy form. Good luck!!

I am 32 weeks along with my 1st child. My husband did the cast on me, hes not an artsy type, however the material and casting was very easy! He did a great job. Ladies, I highly recommend sitting down while your artist casts you. It even says to sit down on the instructions. Stubborn me, I didnt think the cast would look right if I was sitting down so I stood up the whole time. I got dizzy and lightheaded 30 minutes into it. (The casting makes you get hot/overheat). So please stay hydrated and sit comfortably. Luckily the cast was dry enough to pop off after 40 mins. The deluxe kit is the way to go! Vs the basic kit ~ pay only $5 more dollars and you get an extra roll of plaster, smoothing plaster, sanding square, and gesso! My hubby did the mold on my body, and Im working on the final touches (adding addtl layers, smoothing then painting). After all the layers the cast is a bit heavy. I did chest to hips. On their brochure they mention that if you submit a photo of your finished work, theyll send you a free gift!

This is my 1st time using a belly cast. My options were 0 cause when I searched for belly cast this product always popped up, so it was set in stone. Getting to the good part me and my husband was super excited the moment we recieved the package up in till the time we got started. I got it a mth b4 i wanted to actually apply the cast i wanted to b 9 mth or 4 weeks b4 delivery date which is recommanded. I did mines at 36 weeks i wanted to b big as possible without playing it too close. My husband on the other hand was like a kid wanting to play with his new toy, so i finally put him out his misery. I stood while he sat and applied the cast i wanted it to be perfect, but it tells you to seat in a chair i didnt feel like my life was in danger if i stood. He sang the song from the movie ghost the scene when the couple is doing pottery lol it was cute, he was really into it. the process took no time at all i say about 10 min. The cast will let you know when it wants to come off. It is a must you use the lubricant be generous cuz my husband applied where there were no lubricant and it hurt like hell. It does take time for the cast to b completely done, the process takes 2 days and thats without painting it. Overall it was an excellent experince i would do it again if I had more children.

I got this for my daughter. All went well till it was down to the last step. I had the cast in the garage. I mixed up the plaster and went directly to the garage to apply it for 3 seconds at most, I got one handle on then when I reached for the second handful it was too dry and lumpy to apply. I tried adding more water to it but it would not mix. I ended up throwing it out and ordered a bag of plaster to finish it elsewhere. It will need to be heavily sanded as it is to get smooth. An electric sander preferably unless you want to donate days on it. I think if it included mixing measurements and directions it would have been a better product. I would like to change my review as the sellers gave me a full refund and were very nice. I hope they renew their instructions to include water temperature and drying time from the first mix.

My only complaint is how quickly it dries! I had help but honestly we could’ve used an extra set of hands! I was trying to help because of how quickly it was drying but then that made it loose on me cause I could be completely still and not move my arms. It got stressful for sure and I wish the end result would’ve been more snug but for what you pay and being able to have it as a special memory, it was a good deal. If we weren’t delivering next week, I would honestly order again and redo it with extra helping hands!

We had a great time with this, and I am VERY happy with the results. I recommend doing it in a tiled bathroom that can be washed easily, as it does get a little messy. My husband (who is an engineer and not artsy) did a great job and actually enjoyed it- it took maybe 1.5-2 hours including some prep and clean up. We had just enough lube for my bust and belly at 39.5 weeks (I know, cutting it close!), but if you plan to do your shoulders and legs, hands, etc, Id recommend having some vasoline or something handy. We had a full strip and a half left, so will be using to reinforce from the inside at a later time. We havent sanded it down and primed it yet, but that will come after baby is here! This is worth the price, and Im so glad we had the chance to do this before the arrival of our little one.
