When working with electronic components and circuit boards, you’ll come across really tiny lettering, pins, joints and connections that are hard to see or solder without the help of some magnification and the use of special tools. This product gives you a lot of what you need to do precision work. It helps you hold things in place while you solder. The magnifier helps you see the proper position of the things you’re working on. Everything is adjustable so you cane see and work on things at various angles. It’s helped me a lot and I highly recommend buying it if you work on electronics or other crafts that have small parts/pieces to put together.

I purchased another helping hand with magnified light and it is junk compared to this one. Heavy, well made, and you can remove what you dont need. Base is thin enought that it doesnt get in the way when you have limited space like I do. Light is nice and bright. You can place clips where you want, and they hold. Vice is nice to have, again, for those with limited space. Would highly recommend.

This thing is incredibly useful. I attached it to a 4inx4inx1in block of steel and I use it to hold flashlights, hot air guns, and even in a pinch to clamp things while glue dries. The articulation mechanism is very clever. You only have to turn the one knob, and it tightens every joint. I wish I bought one years ago.

you need extra tools to fix the base to the working bench as the base is not heavy enough.

This device works great to hold two pieces steady so that you can use your hands to work a soldering iron and solder. Probably has many other applications as well whenever you need a third hand. I bought the entire kit to have all the attachments that I might need but havent used all the attachments yet. I noticed that the arm that holds a heat gun or some other larger object had difficulty standing upright. I contacted the company through Amazon and they responded very quickly, by the next day. As it turns out, the adjustment knob at the middle elbow needs to be tightened down snuggly for the arm to stiffen up and stand upright. Once it is tightened down, the device will hold its position in an infinite number of positions since they are ball and socket joints. Hope this helps with anyone wondering how the device works. The company was super quick to respond and were very nice about it. I have great confidence in their customer service and would easily buy from them again. The device is well made and the magnets are extremely strong neodymium magnets. The magnifying lens is high quality glass and even though it is listed as 3X, it seems stronger. Regardless, it is more than strong enough at 3X for doing intricate work. The LED light has multiple settings and allows 3 choices for the color and 10 choices for the intensity. It is quite bright and sufficient for just about any job. Overall, very happy with the product and with the supplier. The product does everything as advertised.

I have used it a number of times for soldering. I found it very useful. The light could be brighter. I recommend buying a bigger magnifying glass / light for some use..

I’m not a luthier, but I do work on guitars for certain things like simple soldering jobs. I had a regular Helping Hands unit before and the arma would never stay in place while I tried to solder wire onto switches or pots. This Helping Hands here however, is a huge step above the one I had before. The arms appear to be stronger but I’ve been using the clamps and vice grips more than anything and it has been such a huge help. Couple that with all the other amenities and there’s no doubt that this beast here is very well worth the price in my opinion!!!

Would be hard to find something to complain about with this. Has everything you need. Light works well. I guess if I had any wish it would be for a magnifying glass with a larger area. The included one works fine, but I go crosseyed sometimes trying to see things correctly through it. The base is heavy and sturdy and the magnets are strong for all the components. Has more stuff included that youll probably use. All the arms for the clips etc. are sturdy enough to hold whatever you need. If youre on the fence, get it. You wont be disappointed. Its a quality set.

Has exceeded expectations right out of the box. It’s a very good product. I know it’s alligator clips and flexible arms but it’s very functional and user friendly and looks good doing it. I’m very satisfied with product and service from this seller
