Manhattan Toy Skwish Natural Rattle and Teether Grasping Activity Toy

I bought this because of the natural wood, but my baby is not particularly interested in the toy. I know this toy in a colorful version from lots of places and every baby Ive seen loved it. Therefore I wanted to buy one for my baby as well now, and I loved the idea of having it in natural wood. But looks like the babies prefer the colored version.

The item is held together by a material that makes it bounce a little, which my son enjoys. Also some of the balls move. It is a very fun simple toy, which Ive learned is exactly what babies like.

I thought naturally finished meant unfinished but the two are not the same. This doesnt have the bad smell that another Manhattan Toy I have has but since my son constantly bites, sucks and chews everything you give him and I wouldnt personally feel like sucking it myself with some sort of finish (besides beeswax/food oil) so neither would I want him to do that. However, I gave it 4 stars because it looks like lots of fun and is fantastic for little hands to grasp and manipulate. Its has interesting features and makes a little noise as the beads in the middle slide down the rods. Ill definitely be keeping it for him when he shows more interest in examining, squishing and playing with it, as opposed to just mouthing it. I would prefer it unfinished but overall its a really good toy.

Well made and easily manipulated. Its been a favorite toy. Nice gentle wooden rattle sound from the balls, easy on parents ears.

I really liked the toy and got it for my 6 month old baby. She is now almost 8 months and still doesnt care for it. Each time she takes it into her hands she just throws it away again. not interested at all in it.

I bought the natural color Skwish as a gift, because it is my 4-month-old’s favorite toy (we have the one with beautiful colors). The wood tones are beautiful! These are well made, and fun even for adults! I have a few Manhattan Toys and they are all great quality. Comes with the tag on in excellent condition (as it should, but you never know these days...) Just one warning is baby’s hand/arm can get stuck inside and they might not have the dexterity to get their hand out. My baby just fussed a little and I took it off her. It’s only happened once and she played with it hours each week. As with anything...supervise your baby!
