Mario Kart 8 (Nintendo Wii U)

fun game !

What can I say, Beautiful graphics, my favourite tracks from previous games revamped. Nice sound tracks, a good mixture of new and old weapons/boosts. A great range of vehicles and mods. In one player mode it runs at 60fps, (30fps in split screen), insanely addictive. Neither myself nor my brothers have stopped playing this since its launch day - as soon as I came home from work, it was straight in the console. Im also impressed with water marks on the screen when you splash out of water areas. Graphically it meets Mario 3D world if not better.

My children had an older Mario Kart and wanted this as soon as it was available. They love it. Ill be honest - I dont bother with it so the stars are from them.

Not as fun as double dash but maybe a bit better than the Wii game. But it has more of a challenge to it than the rest chock full of retro courses and DLC to boot
