When I first got into soldering i didnt have a brass sponge, and I didnt get one for a long time only to realize the massive difference it makes. I could never keep my tips cleans before but since buying and using these Ive never had a problem with a tip getting dirty.

This works great! We had learned to use a wet sponge when I was in school, but this seems better than that method overall.

Easy to use and seems to keep the soldering tip cleaner than using sal ammoniac and without any damage to the tip itself.

The set that I got has copper-plated steel pads. Not brass, like stated in the description. The holder is pretty nice though. Just a little expensive for copper-plated steel pads.

This is the worst one “in my opinion” of the bunch because this one even though it looks nice and comes with refills in the bottom tray it is empty there is no flex in the bottom which you need to have when your dipping your tip all the way down and as it’s hot disorder in contaminants get scraped off from the brass wolf wool, Buy another brand because the flex alone is about eight dollars I would never buy this again I keep it for a spare
