This is a very satisfying puzzle for little ones -- 2-3 years old to start and can continue longer. The animals are easy for little hands, and you can also stand the animals up and play with them outside the puzzle. As I have suggested before, think of a label for each of these M&D puzzles and use a sharpie to label the back...because these puzzles are all made a like and Mom might need help putting pieces back when the puzzles get tipped.

The puzzles are great quality. Nice vibrant colors, just what I expected from melissa and doug. Unfortunately they smell strongly of hookah. So much so that I wouldnt gift them to someone else. I plan on washing them before letting my toddler play with them again.

My son is 2 and loves this puzzle. He identifies all of the animals and loves playing Old McDonald.

My son is 16 months old and his favorite song is Old MacDonald Had a Farm. I couldnt resist getting this puzzle. Unfortunately, at his age, hes not too interested in puzzles. He is interested in the puzzle pieces, however. His favorite is the cow which he carries everywhere---bath, meals, pool. We know own two separate sets so he never loses any (or chucks it in the garbage which he has done though thankfully he confessed). The puzzle pieces stand up to some pretty heavy wear and tear though the ones that have gotten wet repeatedly have a little less paint. Ive never seen him so attached to any other toy. Easy to use and very durable

Perfect for a one year old to learn puzzles. Anything from Melissa and Doug is superior quality.

I got this as a gift for my little one. I love that this is all wood and the pieces are thick chunky and substantial. They are easy to grab and hold on to. The images are cute. I have used some other puzzles in the past where it is possible to place a piece in the incorrect spot, as there are not clear differences between the puzzle shapes. This is not the case for this. Additionally, the image underneath each puzzle piece is the same as on the puzzle piece, so it makes it easier to tell where it goes. I really like Melissa & Doug items, and this puzzle is no exception.

These puzzles are excellent for fine motor skills practice.

Our little one LOVES moo-moos! What more can we say? This puzzle also goes perfect w/ The Little Blue Truck book. We use both the puzzle and book to describe the story. Adorable puzzle for those little hands to work!
