> 3 dayI bought these for my daughter about 6 months ago, when she was 3 and 1/2 yo. She loves them, having done them over and over until she can now do them both in a matter of minutes. The pieces are sturdy and have held up very well so far. My kid can name almost all of the planets now and most of the sea creatures as well, theyve definitely sparked her interest in learning more. Pluto isnt included in the planet puzzle, which is something I guess I just have to get used to, but its still a good opportunity to mention Pluto and its place in our solar system. All in all, I think these are great puzzles to start out with; great for fine motor skills and problem solving as well as learning more about space and marine life.

> 3 daythis is just great for 2 year olds. i bought it for my 2 year olds birthday, and its still the first thing she goes to whenever we come home. so far shes learned a couple of the names, and asks about the others so shell remember those before long too. so far shes gotten the idea of rotating pieces to make them fit, and is beginning to understanding about finding the right place for each piece too. the design is appealing, size is just right for the age group, the piece are strong enough to resist being stood on over carpet (though theyre made of thick, good quality cardboard, not ply, so thered be a limit to that), and its also scientifically accurate within a certain degree of artistic license, planets are basically the right colour and comparative size. its also good that includes some moons, asteroids, nebulae, and a galaxy, promoting further inquisitiveness. l

Greater than one weekWe ordered these for Christmas for the kids. Mainly wanted the underwater one, but the solar system came with it as a bundle- great price. The pieces of both are big, thick, bright, vibrant colors. I think they will withstand the roughness of 2 toddlers. We love the Melissa and Doug toys. I enjoyed helping them put them together, even though the solar system excludes Pluto (as its officially been removed from being a planet- what .?.- guess we were taught wrong for all those years :/

> 3 dayI got these puzzles for my 2- and 4-year old grandchildren who love puzzles. We are all very pleased with the quality of the thick cardboard, the artwork, and the educational value of the labeled planets. The puzzles are difficult for the 2-year old to do independently, easy for the 4-year old, and they both enjoy pulling these out to play with often. I can almost always trust Melissa & Doug to provide quality, educational, enjoyable toys!

> 3 dayKids love it! They love that they are huge and the underwater one is challenging! The planet one is a bit easier with the contrasting colors but they still thought it was so cool! It’s a good one to start with.

> 3 dayI bought this product for 2 of my nieces, 1 puzzle for each, who loved the beautiful and colorful pieces. The finished puzzle looks very real and amazing. The only reason I give this product 3 stars is that, in 2 months, the top design part is peeling off from the underlying cardboard, for the Underwater puzzle. This is happening for multiple pieces and the design comes off so clearly that it seems like the quality of glue used is poor. Both nieces are pretty careful and not prone to poor handling of toys. We are now trying to glue the peeled parts back together. Other than this problem, this puzzle looks great.

> 3 dayGreat quality and beautiful puzzles to work with. Many skills for speech and language development can be incorporated while puzzling with your child. These skills include: vocabulary surrounding the subject matter, location words (top, middle bottom, side), use of questions, use of complete sentences and problem solving. .
