this product is pretty versatile and seemingly great quality material. imho, the leg is what make this thing great. I can mount it on my dslr tripod, generic phone mount next to my work laptop, use it to watch movies at night.

Rock solid, not too tight like spring-based options. Love the rotatable ball head collar. Takes a bit to release though.

Its probably more expensive than most phone holders, but its probably the best phone holder, for these reasons:

Well constructed and very solid. It is slow to mount the phone due to screw knob method but you know it is on there securely. Leg extension is not attached with magnet so you wont loose it. The ballhead is very reliable in holding the phone in any position.

Sturdy, good investment. Easy to adjust, and easily mounts to a tripod. Would buy again for its simplicity.

Had 3 plastic phone camera mounts, holding of phone was via plastic bonded to metal rods. Was a tight fit with protective case on phone and fully stressed bonded connection and would happen when trying to install camera, would break the bond and drop or release phone. Not good, only plastic parts are tightening knobs.
