Its a fantastic hotend and contrary to popular belief it wont cause problems when printing PLA, not if you get a good quality all metal one like this Micro Swiss. Super easy to install and the harden nozzle opens way more filament options not to mention youre no longer limited by the temp of your PTFE tube. I cant recommend this if you just print exclusively in PLA but if you want to tackle other high temp filaments, this upgrade is a no brainer. Remember to reduce your retraction to no more than 4mm and make sure you run the fan at all layers when printing with PLA and you wont run into any issues.

I was quite concerned about switching since I still do use PLA and PETG quite a bit. I thought I would have to wait until I got another printer in order to have one installed with an all metal hot end and keep the other stock for PLA and PETG, but I was quite wrong. Very happy with this product. I have gotten one or two clogs, but without the capricorn tube digging all the way through the cooling block, it is a sinch to simply pop off the tube and use some nylon filament to remove the jam with a hot pull. Again though, the jams are not happening ANYWHERE near as much as many reviews made me fear before I bought this. Only thing I do recommend is that you play with the heat settings yourself. They recommend that you increase the temp by about 5 to 10 degrees after making this switch but I found that my materials do better with 5 degrees less. They come out much cleaner and very well fused. Not sure if its just my hot end is a bit hot, but since I did decrease the temp I have not had a clog. Also huge huge huge important part to this is the retraction. Remember to both reduce your retraction and to tinker with your retraction speed and restart distance (distance that the printer starts at after a retraction). There is no perfect setting, you just need to tinker with it a bit. It will make your life so much easier by making sure you dont end with tons of clogs and that your prints look clean and tidy without stringing.

I have been running ABS thru this constantly for about the last 6 weeks. Does a great job. Printer is Creality CR-10S Pro v2.

Could not install nozzle it came with fully even after heating to 200 celcius. Could be a random bad one?

This is a direct replacement for the factory hot end. Remove the old one, trim the bowdin tube square, pre heat the hot end before tightening the nozzle. Then print! This works really well.

My hot end crapped out, so I figured “might as well upgrade”. The original price of this might seem kind of high, but it’s worth it. Super easy install with the manufacture provided video, everything is tidy in its own bag. Tools provided also, and first print ran with it was .01mm within spec at all places checked. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to replace their hot end.

As I have been slowly gaining more experience with 3D printing, I started hitting some snags when trying to print on glass. After a lot of trial and error, I thought I was getting close. Then, the exiting extruder clogged, impressively. I swapped out the original CR10S Pro V1 print head with this one, and it’s been working perfectly! Just as the directions indicated, it was a simple drop-in replacement. I have not had any clogging, or other issues to speak of. I am now getting very consistent prints with PLA directly on glass! This is super cool because the parts just pop off the bed as it cools. Adding this, in case anyone else is having issues with the CR10S Pro V1 and glass: After some trial and error and seeing my 1st layers being so close to the bed, nothing can be extruded too not close enough to work, I am now sure that the inductive sensor is at fault. If I warm up everything, re-home the printer prior to every print, it works well. (Hoping that the Tiny Machines 3D BL Touch Kit for Creality CR-10S Pro 3D Printers will fix this ... fingers-crossed)

Micro Swiss All Metal Hotend Kit for Creality CR-10s PRO:

This is a drop in All Metal Conversion kit for the CR-10s Pro printers. It requires absolutely zero modification to your printer to install. Our uniquely designed cooling block eliminates need for a thermal tube. By not having a separate thermal tube inside the cooling block, it allows for faster heat dissipation. The thermal heat break is made from Grade 5 Titanium Alloy to provide excellent thermal isolation between the heater and the cooling block. Titanium is extremely strong material and offers almost 3x lower thermal conductivity than stainless steel, creating more defined meltzone.
