Midwest Tungsten Service TIG Welding Tungsten Electrodes 10-Pack (Blue - 2% Lanthanated Tungsten (WL20/EWLa-2), 3/32)

Ive used these very little so far, just with some ancient torch parts, waiting for some more modern gas lenss and cups to go with them. Anyway, using this tungsten ,1/8 , to weld 1/8 sheet aluminum (marine grade) to heavier channel and angle, both 6000 grade. With a proper ground sharp point, arc control was fairly easy and I will admit to being a bit rusty from lack of practice. Now, only reason for not giving 5 stars has been mentioned before. For my colletts, the color coded end will not pass through. Small inconvenience but still that.Ill update later if needed. Happy welding and dont dip your tungsten!

Im not a professional by any means, however I could tell that this tungsten held a straight arc and did not affect my welds in any way. I have used it on stainless and mild steel no issues yet. Seems like a great value came well packaged as well. Will update when I get around to some aluminum.

I like them better than 2% thoriated on pipe. And if ya dip it doesnt always mess up on carbon steel. Plus there not radioactive. I know I know Ive been welding for 30 yrs aint no radiation ever hurt me..... Ill take my chances with the non radioactive tungsten.
