> 24 hourI was looking for a 5.5/2.1 connector pair that actually had some copper in them, and came across these. They advertise 18awg and that appears to be a valid claim. I was given a similar type of connector pair and the wiring in it was very thin. These had much more actual wire. And when I stripped them with a good set of wire strippers using the 18 gauge setting they stripped cleanly. Ive used several of the pairs that came in the bundle and theyve all worked perfectly. No complaints so far, and Im writing this review before ordering my second bundle.

> 24 hourI have a 12V <4.8A load (double-checked via multimeter) running through these, and the female connector seems fine, but the male connectors heat up significantly and cannot handle the load. These are not 18 gauge.

> 24 hourOrdered these for some random projects around the house and they have worked fabulously. Rated at 5 amps, but i have pushed 6 amps through without any issue for a foam wire cutter. Nice thick wire, which appears to me being 18 AWG, with great snug connectors.

Real Thick 18AWGReal 18AWG vs Common 22AWG, real 18AWG are bigger wire than other 22AWG pigtails, as it has heavy gauge with 43 pcs 0.14 mm 100% copper strands inside one cable, total 86 pcs 0.14 mm copper strands inside the two Red / Black cables. This makes the difference when using with bigger power supplies, and allows them to be used for higher current devices, they should be good to 5A or even a touch more with real 18AWG. |

This 18AWG DC Power Pigtail provide a very good reliable DC power connection.
