the right size to use to hook leds to cars hard wired instead of 12 volt cigerette plug, also it can be used to a small 9 volt battery to make the led work, also keeping to hook up a variety of 12 volt 18 volt and 9volt in my electronics many uses, and can also be used with small 5 volt devices these are great for electronics hobbyist for a variety of projects so you can quickly unplug or plug in your apparatus also a large variety of ac transformers can usually be found at second hand stores, also one should have a volt meter for its many many uses

The wire is fine, but the female connectors only make connection with the male barrel at the little rim in the front of the connector, as a result they have high resistance and are not suitable for the amount of current that the 18ga wire can support. Other female barrel connector designs make contact over a larger surface area.

used these leads to make a quick connect to a battery source. These hold tight and make a great connection. Wire diameter is fine for several amps, nothing more than 5 amps. Solder well too.
