This product advertises that it is REAL 18 AWG wire unlike other similar pigtails listed on Amazon. However, when I received it, it was essential the same old 20 AWG wire as all the rest. The wire gauge on the wire itself says 0.8mm^2 which is the same as 20 AWG wire in the inch system. Truly sad.

Go them to create my own splitter and connectors for CCTV cameras. They have long leads and fit will with the power and camera plugs - nice and snug. Thick enough to make good connections and solder.

Solid, smooth, tight connection. Wires are thick enough to twist with fingers after stripping insulation. No thin wires here buddy!

The first was a laptop commuter that the power jack kept breaking. So I hard wired one of these into it and now it has a short cord that can easily be unplugged. I also had a couple of video components that needed to be disconnected for breakdown and storage. This was the perfect solution and gave me a couple of feet extra length that I needed.
