22-11-2024Ive had these for a couple years now and use them for various electronics projects. The outside is plastic and melts/burns easily when soldered. Its not silicone as one reviewer suggested. If you bend them much, the outer casing will crack. For under $10 I didnt expect much and they do the job in some applications, but if you want something thats going to bend or flex a lot, you probably want to find some with silicone wires or wire it yourself to a different barrel connector.

> 3 dayThese are the best male and female DC power pigtails Ive seen. Most use very thin and easily damaged wire. These are 18AWG wire and seem to be built extremely well. Will reorder.

> 3 dayThe product appears to be of high quality with solid copper wire, tinned at the end, and of 18 gauge. I used the female side of this cable and created an adapter cable to match a Bioenno battery chargers male plug, with this fitting on one end and powepole connectors on the other end to fit the bioenno battery powepole connectors. These connectors are exactly the right size. The wires were strong and easy to work with. Only time will tell about the durability of these connectors, but Im hopeful given my initial experience.

> 3 dayInitially purchased cheap clip-on connectors (no solder) for connecting the strip lights to the power supply. Resulted in poor connections with power supply (brownouts and disconnects). Bought these pigtail cables and soldered the wires securely to the stip light pads and the power supply lead wires. Plug them together and it works... very solid connection and professional installation. Easy to disconnect and reconnect if needed. Recommend buying these first to save you some time and aggravation.
