I really like the quality of the paints. I dont find they dry out insanely quickly but you have to respect that youre opening all the colors all the time. Make sure you secure the lid properly each time. I tend to use them more like acrylics that can be diluted easier than actual acrylics and Ive found that to be useful. Now for the bad and it is pretty bad....To really get a functional set you have to individual peel open 50 tiny plastic cups of paint! This took FOREVER!! I understand why because it ensures that you get an intact product thats not dried out but soooo many cups. SO MANY. The first night I got this I was done with the paints before I even got to paint because of the little cups. They are also not easy to open. So if youre someone who has trouble with peel open cups of sauce at fast food places this is not for you.

Bought these to try a new medium. The opacity and texture are fantastic.

okay Im a kind of young artist BUT I’ve been painting all my life and this gouache has been such a great new experience. The colors are great and even though I could probably use the smaller one and just mix paints together but I’m lazy sometimes and it’s really convenient to just have them alr there for you! I love the texture & the colors are super pigmented! def one of my favorite Christmas so far :)

Paint is a great quality and you get an amazing variety of colors and shades. Only complaint is the airtight lid pushes down on the paint and pulls a lot of product out when reopening, and paint is stuck to the lid.

Only complaint is maybe its a bit too many colors. But I mean if you are a beginner and the color wheel scares you youre covered. Himi gouache is the perfect noob intro to painting.

Easy to use. Awesome to use, while not requiring much effort to take out, use and put away.

Missing one color. My artist daughter was disappointed in that. Otherwise, she loves the paints.

I bought this set after seeing several reviews of smaller ones. After it arrived, It took me almost an hour to open all the cups and my fingers were a little sore lol Once I got them all open thougb I found the color selection to be great and very vibrant. The paints have a good consistency as they are creamy but need a little water added to smooth them out if applying to anything with much tooth (like canvas). Once dry they have cool texture and the colors are beautiful. Overall, this a fun set and I would recommend it for anyone wanting a jelly gouache collection. The amount of colors might be overwhelming for newer artists/beginners though. Test painting attached for reference.
