> 3 dayI have tried different lights over the years for my birds since my house is fairly dark. This one is the best product I have come across so far. It gives them plenty of light so I dont have to worry anymore.

> 3 daySo far, so good! Ive had it a couple weeks and I dont really see a difference in my birds, but I do relax a lot more about the windows theyre near and the lighting they get. *Do yourself a favor.... Read all the fine print.... Order a lamp timer at the same time as you order this one. It does NOT have a switch on it. The instructions admit that the plug is not good enough quality to continually plug in and unplug every day. For that price, Id think they could add a switch or AT LEAST get a better quality plug. Why would you not add a switch option?? The cord also comes in two parts... The Metal covered part plugs into a black cord part. Thats not very strong either... It pulled itself a few times and unplugged itself. So I had to duct tape that connection so it would stay on. I still think its worth it, so far, to know Im giving my birds good light. I just hope it holds up. Im not really sure about its quality at this point.

Greater than one weekI am so happy I decided to get this. My conure had gotten a burn from the previous lamp I used! I felt so bad and guilty! this lamp does it all, he gets the spectrum hes been missing and is a happy fella again. & pleasantly recovering from his burn as well now.. couldnt be happier. I got the 18, and so glad I did, my cage is 2 x 2 x 3 and it fit perfectly. I removed the grey plastic clips that were on the lamp, as they werent doing anything to assist and I didnt see any use for them. As you can see in the photo it helped in clipping the lamp to the cage a bit better. I did find it was a tight fit with the braces otherwise. Overall I love this light!

> 3 dayBird loves the light & it doesnt get hot. Would give 5 stars except the power adapter that came with the light is very poor quality & caused the light to flicker on/off when plugged into a timer that had switched to off. However, we had a spare compatible adapter we replaced it with & it works great.

> 3 dayOur vet recommended a cage light for our green cheek. This looks nice and tidy on the cage, seems to work great, and is definitely bite/chew proof (shes tried destruction of he light, but to no avail).

> 3 dayMister seems to like it. I set it to run from 9 to 4 each day and I think that he is more active when it is on. I think that he utilizes the bottom areas of his cage more because there is more light down thete. I did put it to one side so he can get out of the light when he wants to. He has tried to chew on it but mostly gave up because it is so tough. Bonus: I have a camera on him and this really lights up the cage when I check in on him from work.
