> 3 dayThis digitizer works just like a new screen. If you’re not familiar with removing and installing a new screen then follow the directions to a “T”. They tell you exactly what to do and the order you need to do it. The new digitizer is well made with strong connections, makes for a like new installation. All the tools needed come with the screen...great product for a low price.

> 3 dayTo literal smithereens by an accidental drop in just the right location with a toddler proof case on it two years ago. Granted, I bought this back in 2012, and the screen was so damaged I couldnt take the case off without thousands of tiny shards of glass scattering everywhere like glitter. So up in a cabinet it went until my youngest daughter left her cheap tablet too close to open water without my knowledge that she even had it. Luckily it was a very cheap tablet, but I refuse to go out and buy another one, which is when I remembered my old Ipad 3. I went ahead and ordered a new screen for it and a battery as well since it was so old. Let me say, my screen was so shattered that I managed to scrape a few spots, and I was able to pick up the screen, and the outer layer of the screen with the adhesion was still around the device. OMG. I kid you not. I couldnt use a heating tool like a hairdryer as, again, thousand shard scenario. So I ended up taking a warm compress that can be heated in the microwave, and laying it on the edges for a few minutes, then I chipped away at the glass/adhesive with a tiny flat screwdriver. It was a LOT of work getting this glass out, and I did use safety glasses, tweezers, and tape to help remove it, and worked on a plastic disposable tablecloth, that I kept changing until no more glass appeared. While I realize you dont want or need a full account of my troubles with this bad of shattered glass, Im just letting you know it is possible to change it yourself even when the damage is that bad. Just take your time. The actual product came with tools to help (which I didnt need most of it since my glass was shattered). Even the tiny screwdriver didnt seem to work on a few screws, but I luckily had some eyeglass screwdrivers that worked fine. I would invest in a tiny screwdriver FYI. The screen has plastic on the back and front and an adhesion strip around it that is covered until youre ready to apply it. I did have to straighten out one corner (the one where it mustve hit), with some tools, and after changing the battery (there is literally nothing left in the Ipad casing when you change the battery and screen), and put everything back in. I attached the screen, and did have a little trouble with the attached ribbon wanting to poke out the side, so I had to finagle there to get it in without damaging it. The adhesion, like another reviewer stated, didnt work quite so well. I would recommend getting a correct electronic glue to help seal it. I have the glue, but decided not to do it as I have a tight fitting case on, and just in case I needed to open it up again I wanted to be able to easily. Because of the tight case, it does close the Ipad fully so no dirt or debris can get in. The majority of the adhesion sealed, all but one corner and a little side. Ive had the Ipad working for over a month now, and the screen works totally fine. Theres no issues at all, and my youngest daughter is almost in full heaven with an Apple product. Reason for the almost is because mom did not realize beforehand a lot of apps wont work as the Ipad is so old. Even with an update, it is still too outdated for the majority of apps. This includes kids Youtube, Disney+, etc. Ironically the Netflix app works fine. I can also use Safari, and have bookmarked kids youtube online. Ill look for a way around that later, but in all this screen worked perfectly, just remember to take off the protectors on the back and front, and I do recommend a better glue.

> 3 dayit came totally broken, and of course didnt work. It came in a thin box with any protection, they didnt even put a fragile sticker on the box. Totally waste of money.

> 3 dayInstalled this item today and works perfectly. Took my time and used a pre-paint prep solution to ensure the surfaces were not left with any residue. Writing this review on my iPad after the installation. Hardest part was keeping cleaning up all the small glass shards when removing the old cracked screen. It just crumbled away around the edges as I tried to peel it up but was due to the fact the corner you are supposed to start in was the corner that was damaged. If you are not familiar with small device repair you may want to have someone else install it but anyone that has an attention to detail and patience can accomplish this install. If you are able to remove the old screen in one piece this may go much quicker for you.

> 3 dayThe tools are nice. The digitizer came nice too. However, after initial installation it seemed to work fine but just after I applied the adhesive, there were some dead areas. The adhesive is not strong. The cable that connects the digitizer to the IPAD is weak and sensitive. It broke so easily in my hand!

> 3 dayGreat product! My older son busted my younger sons screen and the world nearly came to an end. Daddy is now the hero who brought the iPad back to life. Looks exactly the same as the original but with out all the sticky finger prints. After looking at a few helpful YouTube videos, the repair was pretty straight forward and surprisingly easy. 6/18/16 Update - a few weeks ago my sons iPad developed an odd symptom. It appears to be haunted, what happens is the thing will randomly open apps and launch things in the apps. When he plays MineCraft, the iPad builds and destroys things in an area he didnt select...which naturally drives him nuts. The iPad doesnt do it all the time but enough to be a real issue. I have reached out to MMOBIEL and their suggestion was to heat the digitizer up and reset the pins in the connector and if I wasnt comfortable doing that to take it a professional....well, I havent done it yet and while I have no plans to pay a professional, I am worried the screen will shatter and that the adhesive wont seal correctly after. Maybe they are right, maybe the connection is not set properly but I would think the symptoms would be more consistent if that was the case. I plan to try it soon, guess we shall see.

23-11-2024Worked beautifully to replace the broke screen on my iPad. Had all the tools I needed to do the repair. Tip: use a hair dryer to release the glue holding down the screen your wanting to replace.
