Seeing reviews about this little knife, made me believe it would be great to have with my fire kit. Im very disappointed with it. The reason for 2 stars is it came sharp, (including the 90 degree spine!) And liked the grippy handle and the size of the blade. However, the cutting edge does NOT stay sharp at all and it rolled in 2 different directions. It didnt even last a few minutes when I was using it to cut thin bank line and twine!! I stroped it back to being sharp and got the rolls out of the edge. Then tried to make a feather stick with a piece of pine. After a minute, the edge rolled again. And i dont reccomend you put your thumb on the spine while using this knife as the spine is so sharp it will cut you! Great for a ferro rod though! This is the worst Mora knife Ive had. I dont recommend this knife.

Excellent knife for the price. The blade is just long enough for most cutting tasks. Handle is big enough so that my hands dont cramp.

My son loves this knife to wittle with. I have honed it a couple times on my leather power strop and have yet to have to sharpen it for him. With a nice size handle, it doesnt feel like such a short blade. Very controllable for small intricate work like whittling or carving but the blade is thick enough and overall sturdy enough to do bigger tasks. I will definitely be buying one for myself!!

Although this a very sharp blade, it is to short A little extra length would be more of an emergence knife.. The handle is perfect size. But in my opinion the blade could be a least 1 in. longer.

I really like this knife. It is my go to camp knife. I wear it as a neck knife or with a lanyard off my belt. I always carry a heavy duty belt knife, but find it annoying to use for small tasks around camp. Once I have camp establish I down grade and its nice to wear shorts and the Eldris as I move about camp, in and out of my hammock, etc. This knife fills that role well. Cutting rope, food, making kindling, etc. This knife does it. The spine of the knife is amazing for throwing sparks off a ferro rod. It came rather sharp. It stays in its fitted sheath. I do think its a little high prices consider you can buy a full length Mora Companion for cheaper.

Comfortable knife to carry and use and it’s great for carving up sticks for outdoor projects. The 90 degree spine made smoothing out an improvised walking stick very easy and the blade was great for removing branches and knots, cutting cordage, and everyday tasks. It feels great in the hand. I like the knife so much I am buying more for family and friends, and an extra one for myself as well.
