This is a modern version of a Swedish grandfather knife. Traditional knife shapes are traditional for a reason. They work.I saw one modern day grandfather knife with a birch handle.The blade was maybe 1/2 inch longer than the Eldris. The add mentioned processing a MOOSE. Warning!!! This knife will cut through stuff quicker than you think.Thanks to a 9 buck cut resistant kitchen glove on my non-dominant hand; i still have a left thumb.

Ordered this as a gift for my older brother, he likes it. He carries it with him when he goes fishing.

I mean its a Mora. Solid. Decent steel for being stainless(its not indestructible by any means though). I love the handle, feels amazing. Cleans easy. The cut-outs are just big enough to run a rag in. Blade runs right to the handle which makes cleaning the blade a breeze. Tiny blade great for fine work and comfortable af to work with for hours. Love tue sheath. There isnt anything fancy or over done with it and it grabs the handle perfect. The holes at the bottom work well for drainage if your gear gets soaked or to run a cord through for a necklace carry. The only issue is the back of the blade, the 90° on the spine of the knife are really sharp. Youre stuck to the handle only if you dont want to slice your thumb apart. Doesnt seem to rust at all. Handle fits into tje sheath backward to give you feeling of a huge handle, whether or not it does anything. Absolutely love it for the money over all. Oh and the handle is soft rubbery plastic. Do not baton the butt of the handle, i havent tried it but it for sure isnt meant to take it. Id like to see an addition of a metal cap on the butt someday.
