> 3 dayI returned the 16GB mosDart USB drives since one memory-stick failed or was defective. Sadly, I found out after a couple of days of work that I lost because the data I had stored there was not accessible.the UBS could not be read and asked “if I want it to initialize it.” Of course that meant erase everything I had stored in it. I retried it again and again, even after I had powered off my computer, re-starting it and I got the same result. I went to check if I could read it in my apple laptop, got the same message, check it in a Toshiba laptop same thing. Tried it in my husbands Apple Tower and also got the same result. In 4 computers your memory-stick could not be read. Accepting to the idea that if I initialize the USB-stick would erase everything, I clicked to initialize it. Now, I got another message saying that the “initializing had FAILED.” In the many years I have been using floopy drives, CDs, memory-stick, flash cards etc. , yes, I may have had maybe a couple of bad floppy drives, even maybe a couple of CD disks. But this is the first time I had a defective memory-stick. Even the free memory-stick we get in conferences have worked fine for us. As you can surely appreciate, I did not want to experiment using the other drives from the package. Maybe it was a “bad-batch.” I purchased your memory-stick because they were less expensive than other name-brands (Patriot, SanDisk etc.). I learned that I better pay more for those name-brands than to have the uncertainty that if, I use the others, they may fail as well. I am working on a deadline with a publisher. How am I going to recover the loss of 2 days of work? after 2-3 days I returned the package with all the drives. I marked BAD or Defective over the bad drive. In addition I included a letter explaining the problem. Hopefully the seller reads it and makes sure that there are no other bad drives in their inventory.

> 3 day***EDIT*** After leaving the original poor review, the seller (possibly importer/manufacturer as well?) reached out to me and offered to send me a free USB flash drive from another batch to test. After testing it by copying several large sets of data, formatting, then using Rufus to create a bootable Linux install image on the USB - I can confirm that the unit they sent me does not exhibit the same issue. Its possible that the batch I originally received was just faulty, so be aware of that. ***ORIGINAL*** These USB drives are complete junk, do not purchase - spend the extra money to get a reputable brand. I purchased these to use for quick/temporary storage; since they would be used for non-essential data that was backed up elsewhere - I thought getting off brand USB drives would be ok. No such luck. Grabbed one drive and started a transfer of about 2GB worth of files; immediately I noticed just how slow the transfer was. Now these are advertised as USB2.0 drives, so the speed will definitely not compare to newer USB3.0 drives, but I have other USB2.0 drives from mainstream brands that are several times faster. But again, temp storage (forget about being quick now), so was willing to live with the slow speeds. But the transfer speed kept dropping and dropping, after a couple of hours (yes, hours) - then transfer speed was basically at 0; then Windows threw an error and said the drive was no longer visible. Removed and reinserted the drive and Windows was able to see it again - however it saw it as unformatted. Formatted the drive and tried the transfer again, same story - after a couple of hours Windows no longer saw the drive and the transfer errorred out; except that this time when it was removed/reinserted - Windows would see it, report that it was unformatted, but be unable to format it. The drive was basically dead, after being used for only several hours. I thought this might be a fluke, one bad drive out of 5; I tried it with a second drive and the story repeated itself. Save yourself the hassle and headache of a return and just avoid this junk.

> 3 dayUsed the flash drives to copy my music collection of MP3s from desktop. I have 120 gigs of music and it took 3 days to copy at the slow speed of these flash drives.

> 3 dayI was looking for flash drives with more than just a few Gigs of memory and for a good price. I got 5x 16GB flash drives and have a nice slim profile and a sleek swivel design that covers the male USB connector and open on the sides. They all work and I dont worry about the physical design falling apart due to quality of build. They also come in different colors, which I think is nice for me to mentally color code what files I put on which drive. Works as expected for what I consider a good price? I have no complaints about these. Thanks for providing a good product that I have been using for a few months now.

> 3 dayI bought two 5 packs, one of the 32GB size and the other of the 64GB size. The drives perform similarly, though the 64GB version is on average, faster when writing. 32GB Version I tested all 5 drives in the 5-pack and all functioned well. I measured write speeds and found they sustained a write speed of about 5MB/s. Surprisingly, the rate was very consistent (see 1st photo). 64GB Version I tested all 5 drives in the 5-pack and all functioned well. I measured write speeds and found they average a write speed of about 8MB/s, however the write speed was extremely bursty, cycling between 15MB/s and 0MB/s (see last photo). Both Versions The drive did not get warm with continuous writing. The reason I down-ranked it 1 star (and gave it only 3 stars for usability) is because with the Blue (see picture) and Black thumbdrives you cant see the activity LED unless you peer directly into the small hole on the end of the drive. With the Green thumbdrive you can see a faint red flashing through the case. The White (see picture) and Red thumbdrives have a very visible flashing and glowing red light that illuminates almost the whole drive. I would recommend getting the white or red versions of these drives if seeing the activity LED is important to you.
