These metal plates are too thin and my lamp magnet barely sticks to it. Doubled up its a little better but I still cant trust it not to fall off. The metal plate that came with my magnetic phone case was much thicker and magnets stick to it much better than we these thin plates.

Metal plate with a stronger double sided tape looks like,the adhesive is ok, but for the price were happy so far.
