I will run out of room for car seats at some point but as a grand parent you are happy to have more. These work great to keep the seat protected from spills and stains but they are so thick and sturdy that the car seats dont leave any indentions in the leather seats at all. We take them in and out a lot because of only have the grandchildren on weekends and they are super easy to install. Just waiting on the day when I have to but another one because we get the good news that we will have more grand babies.

I used it while extended rear facing a three year old (I do this for liability and safety as a nanny) she was within height and weight. She fits well in the seat and even though she is 37 lbs and 39 inches, she didn’t lead to the mat making dents in the leather on my vehicle seat at all. No issues. Good quality. Never broke on me. did its job

We have purchased five of these car seat protector over the years. First, my husband bought one for his car, as he has leather seats. It worked so well, that he bought another one for his car for our other child. Then, he eventually replaced all of our car seat protectors in my minivan with the Brica Seat Guardian Car Seat Protector. These car seat protectors have rubber strips the prevent the car seat from slipping during quick stops (we live in the country and have had to brake for deer multiple times). Other car seat protectors have allowed fluids to drip down onto the seats, mostly where the belt or latch connects to the seats. Not these ones, there is a lip that prevents any fluids from dripping down onto the seat itself. These car seat protectors are easy to clean up and easy to install, and have lasted several years with our children growing up. We have used these car seat protectors with bothe the LATCH system and with the lapbelt. This works with booster seats as well as now our oldest has graduated from a car seat to a booster seat. I like that there is a lower flap that protects the seat from snowy and muddy shoes. These car seat protectors seem to be waterproof as there have been little puddles from drinks that I have had to clean up rather than soaking through or leaking through to the seat itself. All of our car seats fit onto these car seat protectors with the exception of our latest (and by far largest) baby car seat. The base of this one just rests ontop of the lip of the car seat protector. After securing the car seat properly, there is no movement or tilt to the car seat (just the lip of the car seat protector is now compressed down in that area). We will never purchase another car seat protector again after previously purchasing three different brands, which all had great reviews. With our kids through hockey practices, picnics, multiple long distance trips of 11-20 hours each to Disney World and family living out of state, these protectors have held up and surpassed all of our expectations!

I think it is a pretty good car seat protector. It is thick and seems like durable. It has a nice design too. And the only thing i am not too positive is how to clean it. Not easy to clean the surface but it doesn’t get too dirty easily so far. I have been using it for few months already.

I read the positive reviews on this and I can agree. Our Britax car seat left creases in the leather of our seats, so we gave this a try. It allowed the leather to heal as I had hoped. Whenever I remove our car seat I use leather cleaner and conditioner to keep them soft, so that might also attribute. As far as the Britax Warranty goes, I dont understand what they would warranty and what that would have to do with whats under the car seat or how they would even know. Britax is the company that suggests using a pool noodle to level out the child seat, so what would a mat differ, Britax SELLS the same thing, except its inadequate for seat protection. Some people dont even understand how to install a car seat or fit their child in it, so Im not going to rely to heavily on the internetz for all of my advice. I will say Im glad I did for this product. Thank You to all of the positive reviewers.

I just have to say, that sometimes in the many adventures that we have had in this minivan of ours, that puke has been an issue. And not just a little burp of discomfort. Im talking, full blown, Niagra falls, Colorado River type vomit. The kind that makes grown men cry and mothers weep. Puke with a stench so putrid that not even the vilest of creatures that roam this mortal realm can stand to be in its presence. Many times Ive considered just leaving the van at a scrapyard as fodder for the crusher and hitchhiking home with my bevy of children. That being said, these mats have miraculously been able to contain the liquified contents of my childrens stomachs with aplomb. Cleaning is always a cinch, and no stuck on crust or sticky puddle of despair stands a chance on these things. Tales will be told until they retreat into legend, of the amazing miracle mats and their unparalleled power. King Arthur aint got nothin on these babies.

I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with leather seats. My wife and I just had our first baby. When I installed the car seat initially without the BRICA Seat Guardian it smashed my leather so hard, it dented the foam (hopefully not permanent). The car seat book tells you that the car seat should not move more than an inch...to get a car seat that tight using the LATCH system (with the anchor points), is a nightmare, and will 100% ruin your leather seats, not to mention it is almost impossible to remove the base afterwards. So i tried a folded towel for a week, which didnt help at all. Original Review Jan-18, 2016: Ive had this Seat Guardian installed since January 5th, and havent had any problems with it at all. My leather is finally starting to get its shape back. With the Seat guardian, due to the rubber pads and added thickness, the base doesnt slide at all anymore and its not nearly as death cripplingly tight. I trust that in the event of an accident that this will not have an adverse effect on the safety of my child. One complaint, in my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, I do not have a middle head rest, so i need some other way of securing the the top loop to my seat. Fortunately the car seat holds it up for now, but I think after it gets warm it might start to droop down some.

After extensively researching seat protectors online, reading reviews, and looking at several of the supposed best choices, no other product could even begin to come close to this outstanding seat protector. The quality of the material, sturdiness, and practical, well thought out design are excellent. In reviews, comments are made about the four rubber pads on the lower section leaving marks on leather seats (although apparently temporary marks that fade away over a few weeks once the protector is removed). I simply put a triple-folded cotton terry cloth towel between my cars fabric seat and the bottom portion of this seat protector. The child booster seat is cinched tightly using the safety straps/latches, and all is good! The seat protector wipes up quickly with a damp microfiber cloth.
