Greater than one weekOkay. So here is the skinny on these cups. Do you have a child that is off the bottle or close to leaving the bottle? If you answered yes, then eliminate all ideas or notions for sippy cups from your mind and buy these. These are awesome no spill cups that rely on a childs natural instinct to press down with their mouth on the lip of a cup when they drink. 1 week after switching to these, our toddler was able to take sips from regular open cups/glasses. They dont spill when dropped or knocked over...although, falling from a high enough distance will cause a spill. These cups arent miracles when it comes to no spill. Given enough force...liquid will come out. This is true of ANY sippycup. But during the normal every day to day routine, these can definitely be considered spill free. The difference here is: this cup, by design utilizes the child instinctual behavior to teach them how to drink normally out of a cup. Your standard spouted sippy cup is just a bottle with a harder nipple. These cups are well designed, well engineered. I dont often write reviews...but these are pretty awesome. You will see people make complaints about these cups. They fall into one of two categories. Ill address them individually: 1. THESE ARENT SPILL/LEAK PROOF. Yes, because when I buy a sippy cup, I expect the cup to magically cancel out the laws of motion, force, physics, momentum and intertia. The fact that this cup does not suspend the laws of the natural world when it comes to matter, and its Newtonian movement has totally made me rethink my purchase of these cups.No. Sorry. Thats a ridiculous notion. Given enough force, and depending on the angle of the hit...fluid may come out. No sippy cup in the world can meet this impossible standard. Ignore reviews making this complaint. 2. OMG, I DIDNT KNOW THE RUBBER PART CAME OFF, THERES ALL THIS MOLD. All I can say to this is: how were you allowed to move out of your parents house? I mean, seriously. These are your kids. You didnt look at this product, WASH IT COMPLETELY before using it? You didnt read the little card that came with it that explained how the top came off? Seriously? Anything will mold if you dont clean it, and its in a place where moisture can be trapped. Thats like, what... 3rd grade science class? Come on. This is a solid product. If you have half a clue, youll be able to see why. Ignore the naysayers! Buy these cups for your toddler. =)

> 3 dayI want to high five the person who designed these cups. My toddler had no problems from the first time she first used them. Easy to drink from, boom. They don’t leak. Of course, if they slip from your little one’s grasp onto a hard floor, a tiny bit of milk can fly out, but it has to come out somehow. Leak proof, boom. If you have a dishwasher, forget about it. Takes like ten seconds to take apart. It does take up a little room with the four pieces, but it’s not a big deal. Easy to clean, boom. These cups are maybe the best product we have gotten for our toddler since she was born.

> 3 dayThis is one of those things thats so ingenious, you get a little mad that you didnt come up with it yourself. For the first few minutes we had this cup - even after watching my son try it out - I thought it worked using some kind of mysterious wizard magic. I had to use it myself to realize just how simple the mechanism is, and once I did I felt a little silly for being so mystified. But if you ask me, thats a good way to tell youve got a really excellent product; most of the greatest inventions in the world are deceptively simple. We had been letting our son sip (slurp messily, inhale, and choke) out of regular cups for practice every once in a while, and he took to this cup like a duck to water at 10 months old. I cant yet speak for how it will help him when its time to make the full switch to regular cups, because were still transitioning (hes only 13 months old now). For now, we use these in the car and at home, and we send a clean one to daycare each day. I love that its durable, easy to clean, easy for him to grip, and basically worry-free - I can let him run around with it in the living room or give it to him in the car seat without concern hell make a mess. This may seem silly to some people, but the artist in me also appreciates the cups from an aesthetic standpoint. As a personal choice, especially for the things my kid uses, I prefer products that are single- or solid-colored and not plastered with cartoon characters or brand names. I dont like turning him into a walking commercial advertisement. If this cup has a con, its that it isnt really 100% spill-proof and leak-proof, but I really dont fault it for that. As long as the lid is screwed on tightly and the kiddo isnt messing with it in a full-on attempt to make a mess, the worst-case scenario is just a few drips. Well be stocking up on these and doing our best to keep track of them for baby #2, and Ive already been recommending them to other new moms left and right. This is just an all-around great product.

> 3 dayThese cups really are great! The only time the leak or spill is when they are dropped at high heights. Still then its minimal. We love these cups! SO easy to clean and keep clean unlike a lot of other styles.

> 3 dayMy 1 year old loves these. If she tips them all over they don’t spill so no messes! The only downfall I’ve found with these is the fact that they splash all over when your kid has those “uh oh” moments of throwing them off their highchair.

> 3 dayMy kids started using these around 12 months since we wanted to slowly get them off of bottles. These were so easy for them to figure out. I know the water comes out easily because the chug it quickly. They love these cups and get upset if they dont have them nearby. Super easy to clean. Just 3 pieces and I take the apart and put them in the dishwasher and they come out undamaged and just fine. Also love that they come as a 2 pack for those of us who have twins.

Greater than one weekOur son really likes these cups. I love how leak proof they are. I like the 360 drink radius. I think this is super helpful when transitioning from a bottle to a cup. Careful when cleaning them as you have to remove the rubber topper from the plastic lid or you risk having mold build up. Otherwise I think these are one of my favorite cups for the kiddos.

> 3 dayMy family has been using these cups for years, and they are about the best around for not leaking. To clarify, they do still leak here and there, but are still way better than other cups. Leaking occurs mostly around the rim, where the child drinks out of, but pretty much only happens if the cup is dropped, or slammed down, and usually a small amount of water. One strange occurrence, however, is that once in a great while when the cup is dropped onto a hard floor, the silicone insert on top will pop off, and water gushes out at a pretty good rate. Now, an even less common occurrence from dropping is that once in a huge, great while, the entire white lid will pop right off, despite being thoroughly screwed on. Now, as you can imagine, this causes a huge mess, but doesnt happen very often. These cups are a bit of a pain to handwash, but Id like to address the mold issue in other reviews. My kids very rarely drink anything other than water or milk, and I have noticed that the mold only forms if we have had juice or milk in the cups, and the cup goes missing for several weeks. My experience with these cups indicates that all the angry reviews of moldy cups, and claims of children being placed in danger must be a result of giving children milk or juice in these cups, and reusing them for several weeks, without being washed or checked, something I wouldnt even do with my own water bottle, so I believe there is some user error involved. The area that grows mold can be checked in a split second by simply lifting the edge of the colored silicone insert real quick, so this makes me further place the blame for undetected mold infestations on the users, and not this fine product. In addition, another early indicator of mold is the clear o-ring becoming discolored. So, you really have to ignore both common sense, and early warning signs in order to have your children drinking out of a mold-infested cup of this type. My impression is that these cups are great for allowing kids to have their water right there with them throughout the day, and when using this cup with just water, a regular washing will prevent mold just fine. In fact, even when weve found cups that have been missing for months, say, under the couch, or car seat, they still dont have mold in them if they were used with water. My advice is that if you are planning on using these cups for milk or juice, also plan on completely tearing them down and washing them later that same day. Otherwise, you will guaranteed have mold within a few days. These cups make a nearly perfect environment for mold to thrive in, so we need to stay a step ahead of it. As far as being easy to hold, this could be worse, but some handles would be nice. The smaller cups of this type have an option for handles, but the larger ones dont seem to be available with handles, which is unfortunate. Overall, this is a great product!!
