The first time I connected my MacBookPro16,1 (2019) to my Glyph 1 TB Atom RAID USB 3.1 Type-C External SSD using this cable, the backup system volume on the Glyph automatically tried to mount, and repeatedly put up the improperly disconnected alert. They ran down the right side of my screen. I pulled the cable and then made sure it was securely seated in the drive and the MacBook. Same result. I then used my usual cable and Disk Utility showed the backup system volume with the red alert warning that it was damaged and couldnt be repaired and information should be gotten off the volume. On a subsequent connection the volume did not appear in Disk Utility for mounting to be attempted. It seems probable that the cable killed the volume and perhaps rendered the entire SSD unreliable.

The cable came in a package that mimicked Apples own austere white boxes. Inside, the translucent plastic bag containing the cable was even Apple-like.

I have so many USB-x to lightning cables for Apple devices, but found that I didnt have any USB-C to USB-C cords when a need arose. I saw this cable and decided to give it a try. I use it to connect the USB-C port on my laptop to the USB-C on my new monitor.

This is a well-made, high quality Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 cable. The cable is thick and covered in braid. It has markings on the connectors so you know what cable it is. When cables are unmarked, its hard to tell if theyre USB 3 or Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4.

Phone, Nintendo Switch, different chargers, nothing. Tried my usual charger setup. That worked fine. So, that was a painful albeit easy review.

Extremely fast charging. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast this charged.

This cable is perfect because its not overly long, but is just the right length to connect and not have a mess. The transfers are fast and the charging is equally as fast. I love this and because so many devices are switching over to USB-C, this is a must-have!

High quality transfer cable. Works with my mac. Not sure on final speed but ultra fast. Good value for money.

I thought my Samsung supercharger block with a regular C cable was quick to bring items to full charge. Using the Thunderbolt 4 cable with it makes it even better. Its the fastest charger combination I have used. This combination is what they should use in airports. Im impressed.
