Greater than one weekI got these mainly because they said, Our natural dish sponge can last long without being stinky!. This is not true. They will start to stink just like any other sponge. So purchase them because theyre biodegradable, but expect only that.

Greater than one weekThe sponge I have pictured is after about 2 weeks of use. Once they are a few days old (~5days) they tend to rip apart fairly easily and the scrubby side starts to shed some of the fibers. However, it is still in great shape overall, and cleans and scrubs very well (almost as well as a brand new one!) after a full two weeks. As long as you wring it out and set it to dry after each use, it does not develop the nasty/typical moldy scent that sponges most often do. I also love that it is biodegradable and the price point is awesome. I can get 2-3 weeks of use out of each sponge (at least), and that’s using it literally all day every day- and even after that amount of time, it still has lots of life, I just like to switch them out. When compared to typical sponge brands, the scrub side of this lasts about twice as long. Very, very impressive. Overall, this is a REALLY great product, and I will be a permanent customer. I have no complaints. Update: I purchased these in Nov, it is now February. My single complaint is that after significant use, the fibers in the scrubby side do start to loosen and become like mini splinters. Both my husband and I have both gotten pieces of the wood cellulose stuck in our hands after washing. However, this is obviously the point at which it should be disposed of (3-4weeks). So, still happy and it has been 4 months and I am still on my first box. Will certainly be a continued customer.

> 3 dayWe all go through sponges pretty quickly. These last so long and are better for the environment. I do wish they were a little cheaper, but you pay for quality~!

> 3 dayThese start out very stiff but gradually soften up. Holds up well to tough scrubbing and sharp knives. The coconut shell strips are completely unnecessary and actual prick my fingers.

10-06-2025The AIRNEX Biodegradable Sponges are a reasonable alternative to less eco-friendly sponges. They are a little thin, but I can get a couple of weeks of heavy use out of each sponge. After a couple of weeks I move the sponge from daily use to occasional use for bathroom cleaning or outdoor cleaning. I have used some of these sponges for months before retiring them and have yet to have one come apart or lose its sponginess.
