11-06-2025I bought these sponges as an eco-friendly alternative to the name brand blue sponges I’d been using for years. I’ve used maybe… four so far. They are decent sponges but they just don’t compare and I probably wouldn’t order them again. The scrubby side is a bit inferior in getting tough stains out, the sponge side is just okay, and I feel like I use more dish soap to keep the sponge sudsy compared to the sponges I used previously. Also, I don’t know if anyone else has encountered this, but the scratchy side is so rough on my skin! My hands are already dry from the winter and whenever I wash dishes, the fibers on these sponges tear my hands apart. The little fibers also get stuck in little nooks and crannies, so I have to be extra vigilant when rinsing. The sponges are overall more slippery than the ones I used previously; they’re not easy to grip, so if you’re like me and you are developing arthritis in your hands, these might not be the best choice for you. After this pack is done I’m going back to my trusted blue sponges.

> 3 daywhen I began noticing Scotchbrite sponges breaking down in a couple of weeks I tried these and dramatic improvement. Scotchbrite clearly increased the planned obsolesce so that they have to be thrown away in a far shorter time than these plant based sponges.

> 3 dayThese start out very stiff but gradually soften up. Holds up well to tough scrubbing and sharp knives. The coconut shell strips are completely unnecessary and actual prick my fingers.

> 3 dayI was astounded to know they use coconut for this, and it works great! Not scratching those non-stick pans. However, I was hoping it would not start having the foul smell like regular sponges, but it did after 1-2 months. Good thing is I can replace it whenever as it comes with pack of 12.

> 3 dayThis product is in hopes going to replace the old sponges that I get from the store my ultimate goal is to either have these be burned or to have these be part of the compost. either way, time will tell if these stay in my continuous rotation.

> 3 dayTheyre very harsh and scratchy and difficult to squeeze the water out of without actually feeling uncomfortable on your hands. Ive used them on glass dishes, but Im actually not willing to try them on certain pans because Im afraid theyll scratch. I dont plan to return them since Ive already used one, but I wont buy them again.

> 3 dayThis is the first time Ive tried natural sponges with natural scrubbers on them. Im impressed with their longevity and endurance. I do have to use a little more elbow grease than I did with the green plastic scratchers, however, I love that its all natural and that I can just put it in the compost pile after they are done. So far, I havent worn one out yet, however. And the scrubby part stays well attached to the sponge so far.
