I have never reviewed a product before but I had to do this one. I know it is only a week since I started to use it but it is a blessing. The daily real feel temperature is HOT and I’m not use to it so I am extremely happy with this product. I took a chance since it was on $15. I could not walk around Ghana with it. The best part it is hands free. Only downside is when I am taking a video, you was hear the humming of the fan. Still worth every penny.

This fan worked but it had a weird vibration. It was at a frequency that was irritating. It created either too much background noise to be around people without getting annoyed or if I was alone it almost lulled me to sleep. And I kept getting weird smells. I dont know if it picked up smells around me and amplified them or what. Walking down the street I would get the smell of trash.

This neck fan, which I first learned existed on Amazon, puts out a lot of air at the base of my neck and hairline and it works very well to keep your head and neck cool in hot weather. It`s 80 degrees in Louisiana right now so I tested it under real conditions and I`m very happy with the results and highly recommend this product. The estimated run time on high is 4 hours. I fully charged the fan when I received it. There`s a tiny red charging light that turns off when charging is complete. I ran the fan on the high setting for 3 1/2 hours and ended my test. It performed flawlessly. Remember that lithium ion batteries should be recharged immediately when possible if they run to zero to increase battery life and you should avoid completely draining them as much as possible to prevent degrading them and shortening their cycle life and run time. That`s why I stopped my test early. I really like this device and need it to last as long as possible here in hurricane country. Also avoid leaving in a hot car because high heat will unnecessarily degrade the battery. I like the fact that it uses a type C charging port which should last a very long time without failing unlike the micro USB ports that always break. You can charge or directly power this off grid too after dangerous Summer power outages caused by things like rolling blackouts and hurricanes by simply using a folding portable solar panel with USB ports. I suggest getting one at least 60 to 100 watts if possible because clouds don`t affect USB charging with larger panels. So please remember this fact and prepare before next Summer and get products like this for your elderly relatives at risk of heat stroke. I tested the fan while it was charging and it came on so it does in fact have pass through charging which is perfect. This means you can carry a small 10,000 to 15,000 mAh USB power bank in your front pocket and power this thing on high all day. It fits comfortably around my neck and does the job! Why do I personally need a device like this? See the following... I have to go to monthly doctor visits due to a disability. My medication makes me overly sensitive to heat and I get extremely dizzy and feel very sick fast because I rapidly overheat in warmer weather and my body temperature rises to above 100 degrees. I always wait outside at my doctor visits to avoid catching viruses in the cool but crowded air conditioned waiting room and often the benches in the shade near the entrance are filled with people. I live in Louisiana so it`s not uncommon to have temperatures in the upper 90s to over 100f. I`ve been carrying a USB fan to my doctor visits and a USB power bank. But to cool my head and neck I have to hold the fan in my face. Using this device will make things a lot easier for me. It really does work well! Thank you!

Come warm weather, I do a lot of vegetable and flower gardening. Sometimes the day is sweltering hot and I have tried the cooling cloths, hats, and portable mister fans in an attempt to stay cool. The cloths dont stay cool enough, the hat makes me cranky because it blocks my vision, and the mister fans are of no use unless you hold them in place. I need both hands to garden so the mister fan is a bust because of that. I wanted to try this neck fan primarily because it works hands free so I can move about while gardening. I can say that this neck fan works better than all three of my previous attempts at staying cool in 90 degree temperatures with high humidity. It has three settings so I can decide how much air I want to blow on my face and neck. Its not heavy and it doesnt bother me while wearing it. I plug it in at the end of the day, and its charged and ready to go the next morning. It lasts 2-3 days of gardening for me and that averages out to approximately 10-14 hours total. I have very long hair and even if I pull it back away from my face some strands always manage to come loose. I have had no issues with the fan wanting to pull my hair into its inner housing. The noise level took me a bit to get used to. Its not loud but it is a new noise near my ears. Im still able to hear sounds above it, including my cell phone, radios and neighbors voices. Now that Im used to it, I dont even notice the noise. Ill be using this neck fan primarily for gardening and outdoor work but I can imagine it could help those having hot flashes, fevers, and even while doing hot housework such as laundry or cooking. This gets high marks from me for its quality build, adaptable uses, and affordability.

The fan works well! I use it when Im cooking and doing dishes and the kitchen gets hot. It helps a ton! My only complaint is when you are outside and it is really hot the air it pushes isnt quite as cool but it is better than having nothing. Nice neck fan. Seems to stay charged for quite a while, hasnt run out of battery while I was using it yet.

The only things this does are make noise and blow a little air into my ears. Doesn’t do much in terms of cooling.

The cold, rainy, and wet Pacific Northwest springs are not the ideal time to try out something like the Kidee Neck Fan. But I do anticipate being places a lot warmer in the summer, and Ill be glad to have it there. Solidly built and delivered fully charged - that was a surprise - the fan is well built. Two intakes at the ends then feed the air that blows up from the slots along the sides. Constructed with a solid plastic band, it has enough flex to fit most necks. As for noise, it is going to vary depending on the setting. At low it is all but unnoticeable. Medium will likely be reasonable for most people. At high it becomes very noticeable not necessarily loud, but you will hear it and could make some conversation difficult. Youll also notice a faint vibration from the fans, but again nothing too remarkable. For recharging, a short USB-c cable is included. Batteries are estimated to last for 5 hours at high and longer at the lower speeds While it did include a warranty card, the actual usefulness of it is debatable. If it arrives within 7 days (date of sale, Really? How generous - sarcasm) and is DOA, they claim it can be replaced at no charge, But for use beyond that time, youre apparently on your own. Really should be longer and cover the mechanical part of the fan for at least a year. Other caution would be for anyone with longer hair. It is possible to snag a stray lock inside the air channels and potentially thread it into a fan. Considering air should normally be blowing out, I dont see this as becoming an issue, but just something a little precaution can avoid. Overall, working outside and needing a breeze, the personal fan can make a welcome friend.
