> 3 dayIve made the first two kitties (pictured) but I omitted the legs for the grey tabby. Instructions are clear & relatively easy to follow. Each cat has a QR code that lead to a video showing the steps as well. The more cats you do, the easier it becomes. The only complaint I have is that its hard to gauge what size each part should be, including the body. I feel like Im making them too big - but it matches the size in the videos - because the eyes are much smaller in the kit than in the photos. Im worried that means Ill run out of the wool for the rest of the kitties. Overall though, it was a nice trial for me to decide if I want to keep pursuing felting (which I think I will!). Plus now I get cute felted kitties to work my bookshelves.

> 3 dayThis was my first time needle felting. I really enjoyed the kit. It does seem to be missing the pink to make the noses but other than that it was a great starter kit!

> 3 dayBeautiful packaging - The product came quickly and in a beautiful gift box. Everything was packaged tightly, labeled, and sealed well. There were five papers, four instructions for the different shiba inu dolls, and one with basic felting instructions. They come with QR codes that you can scan with your phone to find youtube videos (but more on that later). Instructions are difficult to read - Although the product describes itself as being for beginners, I found the instructions hard to read because they seem to be written by someone who is clearly not a native English-speaker. Since this was my first time ever felting, I found myself frustrated at times because of the instructions. Thankfully, felting isnt too hard to figure out so I got the hang of it pretty quickly! QR code led to deleted video - I tried scanning the QR code for the black strawberry shiba inu, the one that I wanted to make first, and discovered that the video no longer existed. It led me to their youtube channel, but their videos were not in English and didnt seem to have English translations. I ended up having to look for a different video. Very fun and definitely worth trying - Despite all of that, I found this really fun and stress relieving. Im a professional artist so it was interesting to try expressing myself in a different art form for the first time. I ended up feeling comfortable enough to stop following the guidelines and do something original with my shiba inu, and I feel very proud of how he turned out! As you can see from the picture, I decided to make him sitting instead of standing, and give him floppy ears. I found that theres a lot of freedom that comes with felting which I was not expecting. I dont regret this purchase at all. I will definitely continue felting in the future, and Im thankful for this product for introducing me to it! Also, I LOVE shiba inus! So thats also a bonus!

18-11-2024Kit instructions lacked basic instructions, like HOW to actually DO the needle felting. The instruction say, start felting but never explain how. It required additional research, which defeats the purpose of a beginners kit.

> 3 dayI’ve ordered this a few times as birthday gifts for my daughter’s friends. It’s a great gift, and the box it comes in is nice looking and doesn’t require any wrapping!
