Nest Floodlight Eave Mount, White (MF001)

This is exactly what you need if you own a Google nest floodlight and want to attach it to the eave of your house. I purchased the floodlight and was not aware you couldnt attach it vertically without issues. I searched for alternative attachments and found none. I stumbled across this going down a YouTube rabbit hole and found it, apparently the seller does his sells in batches so if you get a notification that it is back I would jump on it. Aesthetically it looks better and does what its suppose to do, the only downside is you have to play with the wires to make sure they sit right or the base and the mount wont close all the way to attach the security screw.

I had an old existing floodlight that needed replacing. Since I already have a few other Nest products (doorbell, thermostat) and was planning on putting a camera on that side of the house anyway, thought getting a Nest floodlight with camera would be a good option. The problem? The old floodlight was on the underside of an overhang. And Google only supports mounting to a vertical wall... After a quick search, I found this product. And it works like a charm. Color matches pretty well with the Nest floodcam. Only real gotcha would be to make sure that the wires are free and clear of the hooks in the back.

It works very well. Ive had this product installed for over a year, and it allows me to use my nest floodlight in a way that Google inexplicably says is impossible. Excellent product, highly recommend.
