Im so glad I came across this product. We had our floodlight installed and I didnt realize it could only go one direction under our eave. Found this and saw the reviews and decided to buy. So happy I did because now the floodlight doesnt hang too low and looks a lot nicer! Looks like its made from a 3-D print, but it works and seems like it will last. The improvement was worth the money!

They let you mount the Google Next Cams horizontal like it was meant to be but I found that on many of my flood light locations in which the gutters got in the way of installation and would not allow this mount to work. Now I leaned that you can indeed mount the Google Nest cams upside down and it actually provided more freedom of maneuver for the cameras and floodlights without using this mount. This upside down mounting did not hinder anything on the camera and weather also was not a problem. So if you need to mount with this adapter it’s the only solution but I don’t think you necessarily need it I have many locations some of them have this mount and some of them do not and both work exactly the same all sensors work exactly the same, no whether interference. Also something to note I ordered 8 of these and half of them broke when inserting the camera into the housing, and a few did not line up the locking screw correctly I believe they may have slightly altered it to fix these issue and if you need this installation solution I would still recommend to get these but know it’s not the only solution as you can just mount it upside down with no adverse effects and just set in the app 180 degrees turn if the camera to make it right.

Great design on this product and well thought out features. Thanks for bringing it to market. Makes me wanna buy a 3D printer and design needed products like this one!

It blows my mind that Google doesn’t have an option for this type of mount. Fortunately someone else decided to fill the gap. There was a little fit issue initially around the security screw fitting but was easy to work around once identified. Definitely recommend a dry fit test on the ground to make it easier on the ladder. Once you get it up there it looks like Google and it’s secure. Can’t ask for more! Great work!

I like how these look and that they allow for mounting the camera/light horizontal as needed. They lock in perfectly with the base of the floodlight. I do wish there was more space for tucking the wires away as they can get in the way of the locks. I solved this by necessity with the use of PVC caps used for outdoor drainage. Was able to mount it and hide the wires inside of them. This also allowed me to direction the light as needed.

The threaded brass fixture imbedded in the bracket body extends too deeply into the anchor cavity and prevents the anchor tab on the camera fuselage from seating into the said anchor cavity. I tried numerous times to force it, but this only caused damage to the anchor tab, as pictured. Very frustrated with this result, my time and efforts wasted. Have to return to sender now.

GREAT PRODUCT! DID EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO! I checked the negative reviews and it seemed the overwhelming issue was fit. I dont doubt that was an issue but it seems like there were engineering changes and much better QC involved in the unit I received. First the bracket is a great idea and fills a need. Second, doing this on a second story, I was concerned I would lose my mind. I dry fit everything on land laid it all out on the ground. I have to say, it went together easily once on the ladder. Everything lined up including the rear hole. One thing I did discover when dry fitting and would suggest to anyone who purchases this, is to swap out the 3/4 in mounting screws that come with the camera and purchase (4) 1 inch screws. When you mount the bracket to the Google cove plate and then to the mounting plate attached to the ceiling box, it felt like there was only 2 threads attached to the plate. I used a full size box so clearance was not an issue. I cant see it being an issue with a low pro box either. All and all, i am going to purchase a few more and retrofit the rest of my eaves that have standard floods. Great job. BTW this is my wifes account, I am sure she is capable but her husband wrote the review as he....did the work.
