I replaced a Netgear 10/100 that was solid after upgrading to 150 Mbps service. After replacing the switch with this 1 gig switch, download went from 20-30 to over 170. Exactly as expected.

What can I say - it does its job and is super quick/simple to setup and use. I say setup, but since its unmanaged, setup really only refers to installation in a location and hooking up ethernet cables. I have two of these units in my system to help wire up various rooms/items in the house. One is located immediately beside the main router, with the 2nd unit being located in the living room to hardwire the main entertainment items to remove the need to rely on wireless connection.

This switch works well for simple switching used in my home theater. However to think of this as a managed switch is a stretch. Those expecting tight port control or long term software support may be disappointed.
