NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS308) - Home Network Hub, Office Ethernet Splitter, Plug-and-Play, Silent Operation, Desktop or Wall Mount

Added a mesh network and was using an old router as a switch. One port short, with a NAS, Hue hub, PC, VOIP phone and the gateway router. The fiber router uses its ports for the DVR, the wireless hub for the other TVs, the mesh and the Netgear switch.

The device is working since I took it out from the box. Cero configuration needed, just plug the cables and presto...

This switch just works. You open the box, plug it into the wall and youre off and running. Its been in production for over 2 years now without an issue.

I am not rating apples with apples, as my model is GS116 (nothing after the 116)

Extremely easy to setup and use when you need more ports.

Im just a 1 guy who takes care of our household internet stuff. This seemed like a decent upgrade to the 5 port unmanaged hub we currently have. Just installed the app which gleefully informed me that management features now require a premium subscription, but I would have free trial period of 30 days. Just another company like HP doing their best to squeeze every last dime from their loyal customers.
