> 3 daySuch a sturdy and visually appealing piece. My elder cat adores it. My cat sits on it, rubs on it and of course uses it for going up and down the steps.

> 3 dayMy biggest gripe is that the distance from one step to another is much higher than indicated. I am attaching pictures of seller’s dimensions and actual dimensions. From Base to Step 1 is 7-3/4 inches. From Step 1 to Step 2 is 6 inches. Same for Step 2 to Step 3, 6 inches. I purchased for my two 6-pound dogs, one is taller than the other. The taller one can use these steps. The shorter one cannot. My cats don’t need steps. They bounce off walls and fly through the air—yep, even my 14 year old is still (knock gently on split wood) quite actively crazy. AS FOR THE WOOD: “Product features natural Wood Posts that may have cracks or natural defects...They only contribute to the natural look of the Wood.” Yeah, okay. I knew when I purchased the description was ridiculous. Who wants split wood? It’s not cracked, it’s split. There is a difference, but one that I can live with considering the price. CARPET: nice dark beige color. Soft. I will be returning.

Greater than one weekThis arrived with strings hanging all over it, carpet loose under stairs & deep splits in the logs. However, it is well built with real wood logs, 1/2 plywood & is VERY sturdy! It can sit in the middle of a room (not up against a wall) & not tip over, even when my 19 lb furby jumps on it! So, I cut the strings off, staple gunned the loose edges of the carpet & filled the splits with wood filler. Two of my three cats were on it as soon as I took it out of the box! I put it in our catio, thats attached to the house, on our back deck. The cats use it to sit on & as a secondary way to get to one of their perches. Its purrfect!

> 3 dayMy Persians love these; they sleep on them, sharpen their claws, etc. Sturdy and work great.: climb off and on bed etc. with great ease. The packaging was not good; the flimsy box was torn to tatters; please wrap the stairs in bubble wrap and use a sturdier box. Otherwise, very happy with the purchase.

> 3 dayVery sturdy, just the right height for my bed and windowsill, carpet even matches my floor carpet. I didnt even have to assemble it! It has maybe a couple inches wider footprint than some others, for better or worse? You can evaluate that to your needs depending on the size of your pet and where youd like to put it. My cats dont need it to be as wide as it is, but if it were too much more narrow I suspect that would affect the balance and overall sturdiness which definitely is important. Also at this shape theyre a great size for cats to lounge on or scratch if they wish.

Greater than one weekI guess I didnt read it so thoroughly and was prepared to assemble it. Was totally happy it was put together. This is very sturdy. My biggest dog is about 65# but I actually think I could go up these steps and Im about 120#. The cats took to it immediately. My 2 dogs are taking a little long but are starting to use it without me making them. The biggest dog is a senior and cannot jump up on my bed any more. Shes not sure about the steps, but seems to be getting the hang of it I think. Yes, as some reviewers have mentioned, there are some splits on the polls and the poles are a little rough. But if you are concerned about the roughness, a little sandpaper helps it in a snap. As to the splits, dont know how much lumber youve bought, but the splits wont hurt on something like this. Plus, I like the fact that it shows they are using all the wood rather than throwing it away and wasting it. Would buy again.

> 3 dayThis is so well made and sturdy enough for my thick cat! Its comes all put together so no assembly is required and its a great blend of carpet and wood to appeal to lots of kitties scratching needs. Would also be great for dog steps too since it is so sturdy.

> 3 dayNo more beagle crying at the foot of the bed all the time. At first she was afraid of it, but we trained her with treats to use the stairs and now she loves them. They’re sturdy and well made too.
