My NightOwl system cameras were displaying distortion on my monitor. This inexpensive replacement saved me and I did not have to purchase another security system

reliable up grade to existing power supplies which seem to be taxed at the max output, have had 3 Night OWL power supplies fail to deliver enough power to operate cameras and one failure to power the VCR after 3 months use. I chose power supplies rated for 500 milliamps (1/2 amp) more than original and they provide power enough to avoid failure. It is also nice to be able to share to power by using only 2 or 3 pigtails instead of all 4 to power the system by adding an additional power adapter

Ordered this kit as a replacement to the original camera power supply. Works beautifully. Something to note: If you already have an extra DVR power supply and still have the 4-way splitter, this should be sufficient to replace the camera power supply. Most often after about two years the power supplies will need replacement. Having an extra on hand can be used for powering the DVR or the cameras as needed.

Expect it to go bad in couple years , I dont know why this is my 4th one , cameras still great but this power cable gives up every two years!

We purchased an Owl Security camera set a few years ago, and within a year, the cameras would no longer work. Calling the company is just an endless circle of frustration, which results in them telling you that you need to replace one component or another. They do not acknowledge the warranty, and you either purchase the missing component (for us, it’s this one), or you waste $200+ cameras. I would go with a more reputable company that values its customer base. Avoid this company (Owl Security) at all costs.
