The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is an extremely solid and enjoyable game pad. It feels great to hold and play games with. While the price is $15 higher than the normal one, it’s probably got something to do with both the new design, and the improvements made on the D-pad. Overall, a great experience for playing games. The only thing that bothers me about this controller is the grips. This may not actually be an actual issue, but somehow it feels like the Smash Ultimate Pro Controller has less of a “grip” feel on it, compared to the original Pro Controller. I’m not sure why this is, or if this problem exists on other Pro Controllers with colored grips, however if I had to guess I would say it’s due to the paint on the controller just barely covering the grip material. Supposedly, the original Switch Pro Controller has had its D-pad issue fixed, so unless you want this special edition, I’d recommend the regular black Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. Other than the grip and D-pad, this controller is pretty much perfect.

So I was speculating how the condition of the item was gonna look like when I saw the description of the item said “Used; Like New”. My heart even dropped when I opened the box and saw how slightly damage/smooshed the product box was. But the moment I unpacked the controller and saw how keen & conditioned the controller was, I knew I made the right choice. The controller feels great in my hand and it’s fantastic to play Smash with a pro controller. And the fact that it said it wasn’t going to get here until next week and it got here today is all I could have asked going into the weekend.

This is actually my first pro controller, and I LOVE it. It is very comfortable to hold, it doesnt have the drift problem like the joy-cons, and the design is just cool. I would definitely recommend it, especially to you hardcore smash players. That is if you arent a melee veteran and already use a gamecube controller.

Had to return because the left stick was broken. Hopefully this is an isolated issue. I had pre-ordered this and it didnt get here when it was supposed to and I was much more disappointed when I noticed it did not work. The stick would just get stuck in the direction you would move it to, it would not spring back to center.
