Nite Ize Original Steelie Magnetic Phone Socket - Additional Magnet for Steelie Phone Mounting Systems

I was excited to buy this because I wanted a minimal design car mount. The piece that goes on my dash was solid and great but but this particular piece that goes on your phone just keep coming off whenever I would take my phone off the stand. I’m writing this review because yesterday I had on my phone and the adhesive eventually just completely wore off this piece and I noticed this morning that it had completely fallen off somewhere and now I have the dash mount but nothing to mount my phone on!!!

Easy to find a good placement. Has a problem with heavy phones. But makes the viewing easy.

I use these magnets for everything including cell phone, fire department pager and radio mic. They are slim and doesn’t affect the profile enough to worry about

A liitle pricey, but very functional. Causes a bump on the back of your device that is about 3/16 inch deep. I use an open front holster, so it is not a problem. Ive also used a leather slide in holster with no problem. The magnet is in the piece that attaches to you phone, which is convenient for attaching the phone to the refrigerator or microwave while cooking. I was concerned about the magnetic effect on GPS and mapping, but it does not cause a problem.

Strong enough to stay in place while the semi truck is bouncing around the road...
