Noctua NF-A8 PWM, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (80mm, Brown)

Yes, it is a tiny beast. Installed on a side panel directly above my Ryzen 1600 and it dropped 5 degrees while idle and 8 under load using the Wraith Spire. Mostly quiet operation. Construction feels solid.

Another +1 review to the 5 star camp. IMHO Noctua fans are first class products, this one included.

Put into a 3-year-old HP Pavilion 570 desktop that had a whirring fan noise at each startup. Then I had a warning on the screen to replace the fan. Got Amazon quick delivery, installed in 15 minutes, and - voila, the silence was deafening! Well packaged product, lots of accessory cables, very good quality item. Highly recommend.

Purchased two of these fans for use in a Silverstone GD09B HTPC chassis. Was worried that running two 80mm fans in here 1) wouldnt fit, and 2) would be too loud. Am happy to report that these fit side by side easily in the rear exhaust area on the Silverstone case, and that they are not audible using the standard profile from my motherboards pwm header.

I thought, wow, this is a super quiet fan. Then I realized that it just didnt work at all.

I am using other 120mm Noctura fans, and they are of good quality and run quietly forever. Quiet is the name of the game and Noctura does not disappoint. I purchased this 80mm fan based on past and present experience. I added it to my homebrew desktop computer specifically to cool a NVME Samsung 980 solid state C-drive (also purchased from Amazon). The ultra quiet Noctura fan knocked 20 degrees Celsius off the NVME. The fan comes with mounting gear, but I used plastic ties to position it for maximum cooling. This was installed at least 15 months ago, and all is still good. My rig only uses Noctura. Yes, highly recommend.

Just a great set of fans that really do the job. PWM fans can be controlled with the motherboard and have near silent operation at maximum power. The Fans are just built great and keep the system more than cool. I would highly recommend them. They come with splitters so you can add more than one of these to one fan header. Just be aware the splitter only measures the RPM of one fan and inputs voltage into both.

I installed this fan as replacements in two of my HP desktop computers with fans (both Cooler Masters) that had failed at nearly the same time. (planned obsolescence?) The Noctua NF-A8 PWM fans came with more than enough additional hardware, mounting options and electrical connections to facilitate replacement. I removed the old fans and heat-sinks. Cleaned mating surfaces of CPUs and heat-sinks and applied fresh thermal compound (Noctua NT-H1) and reassembled to motherboards. Both replacements performed perfectly and were very quiet as well as efficient. Both PCs run 54 watt Intel i3 CPUs and average temps are 28C at idle per Core Temp app, and never exceed 57C while under load test. I am well pleased. A great value for a reasonably priced fan with superior performance.
