> 3 dayFor all the hype that noctua fans get, Im sad to say I was disappointed with these. The airflow is second to none, and they are quiet. The problem is they produce a hum that is higher pitched other fans Ive owned, which I find more annying than louder hums at lower pitches. So I swapped them out for other fans.

> 3 dayFirst let me be clear, you get what you pay for and Noctua are rock solid fans. I have heard people complain about mounting Noctua to radiators, and I seriously disagree, as Noctua fans are engineered to provide much more controlled airflow, and static pressure and these NF-F12 are designed for Static Pressure NOT airflow. These are used for pushing air through obstructions and radiators, and will not have the higher CFM ratings like airflow fans do. That is not what they are designed for period.

Focused Flow frame
Designed for pressure demanding applications such as heatsinks and radiators, the Focused Flow frame features eleven stator guide vanes that straighten, channel and focus the airflow, which allows the NF-F12 to rival the performance of conventional fans running at much faster speeds.
