Greater than one weekI built an i7-7700K based system and wasnt aware of the massive heat due to the inefficient TIM on between the CPU die and metal cover. I bought a standard heatsink + fan, not even a crappy one, i think i spent $20.00 on it. While running a massive, 24x7 x265 HEVC video encoding job under linux, i kernel was constantly constantly complaining about throttling back due to the exceeeded threshold. I installed the sensors package, did a sensors command and sure enough the CPU threads were all @ 98C - 100C.

> 3 dayComing from a Cryorig I dont know why I waited so long to buy this. My Cryo wasnt cooling my 4790k well enough. I was getting constant over heating issues and crashes. Hoping it was just a thermal issue and not wanting to go back to liquid AIO because of failures, I figured Id try the best of the best in air cooling. I am more than satisfied this with. My 4790k 1.25v temps never go past 60c at heavy load. This is the best news considering I was hitting 100c and failure on my Cryorig H7. Dead silent operation on top of all that. After using this I wouldnt buy any other air cooler or liquid cooler. I honestly think this is perfect all around. Zero risk with water damage and all the reward of lower temps.

> 3 dayIve been eyeing up this CPU cooler for a few years and I finally decided to spend $100+ on this bad boy. It is very large, but I was able fit it in my Fractal Design Mini-C. The Cooler is installed on a Ryzen 7 3700x and replaced a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. I have to say Im underwhelmed by the results. The CPU temps did drop about 3-5 degrees but IMO it doesnt seem worth it. Dont get me wrong, this is a beautiful cooler and Noctua makes a great product, I just dont know if it was worth spending so much money for such a small reduction in temps. I tried removing and reseating the Noctua NH-D15, but the results were the same. Im a little confused, because this cooler is literally twice the size of the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. I expected much better results.

> 3 dayA big product that provides a big improvement over standard style coolers. Takes up a lot of space so you need to have a large case to accommodate it. Using it on an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and its reduced the average temperature by 10 degrees. Great when gaming.

> 3 dayIf you do any kind of 3D rendering, skip this product and get a water cooler.

> 3 dayJust using a single fan on a 5600x and its nice and quiet. Temps are low. Great cooler.
