Got this to cool an intel i9 12900k. I generally dislike water coolers because as sound as an aio maybe I am uneasy having water near electronics. Anyway, I am able to keep an i9 12900k in the 80 to 82c range with peak temperature of 82c p cores overclocked to 4.8Ghz E cores 3.7Ghz under heavy load. In gaming it floats around in the 60c range. So if you are using your rig for gaming only you could maybe push those clock speeds a bit higher and remain in an acceptable range. Fans do not interfere with DIMM slots on a MSI Z690 EDGE board which is huge for me because I was concerned about the ram clearance. Overall, if you dont want to use water cooling this is definitely the next best thing you can buy. Pricey, but worth it!

Quiet, cool(about 65C°) overall and 75° hot core... with all cores at 4,500mhz. My old cooler was also a dual fan, but only 5 heat pipes and had to ramp up to 2100rpm(max) to keep same level of cooling as this NH-U12A, at about 1700rpm, and the fans are also a quieter design, with 7 heat pipes. Glad I bought it to make the computer quieter during gaming, without headset.

Absolutely the case -- This is the second-best air cooler on the market at the current time, with only the Noctua NH-D15 upping it for first place, but at a much larger form factor. There is absolutely NOTHING bad to say about this fan. It may not have RGB lighting, but boy does it do its job. I am running a 12900K, which has a tendency to get particularly hot. But with this cooler, I havent even hit 150° yet, and I render video in 4K and game in 2K.

Overall it was a fairly simple job, but my recommendation is to read every line of the instruction guide to save yourself some headaches. Here are some issues that I ran into by not doing that.

Cooler came in a Amazons box to protect retail box from getting any damage and potentially from cooler getting damaged.

It’s a good product, I had a wobbly fan and Noctua sent me a replacement! Their customer service seems to be good. Noctua makes great stuff, it may cost a premium but it’s worth it. One of the best air coolers you can find on the market.

While not as flashy as the AMD Wraith Prism, this Fan really lived up to the hype. Reason I upgraded was I was annoyed by the constant throttling of the wraith fan which would keep my AMD Ryzen 9 3900X below 58 C, I just got tired of the constant fan throttling since my case sits on my desk. I tried to adjust the fan curves in BIOS but that didnt help. Wraith prism was just an adequate design that did its job. It thought about water coolers, but never dealt with them before and was not ready to commit to that, which would be a bit more work to setup. After reading the reviews, I thought Id give this a try and go from there.
