Noctua NH-U12A chromax.Black, 120mm Single-Tower CPU Cooler (Black)

This Noctua cooler is amazing. Many people already know and trust the brand, so it made it easy for me to justify purchasing it. This is the best cooler I’ve found so far and I doubt I will be ditching anytime soon.

Core i7 2500k, 4.2ghz, gets up to about 70°C under synthetic load. Works amazing!

There is an almost unbearable harmonic beating tone produced at almost every fan RPM level regardless of whether the LNAs are used. Certain PWM percentages are worse than others where the oscillation of the tone becomes intense and fast, but its never anything that can be escaped from entirely. Really disappointed as I quite like the fans themselves, I think Noctua needs to resolve how its fans negatively interact with heatsinks.

Adaptador para conectar ambos ventiladores. Ademas incluye pasta térmica Noctua. POSITIVO. Funciona mejor que la líquida MSI de 120mm que fallo antes del año. He mejorado las temperaturas y el rendimiento en un porcentaje alto. El anclaje a la placa base es sencillo pero ha de ser hecho con cuidado por el peso del dispositivo. En color negro no es tan desagradable de ver como los tonos crema y marron del modelo cĺásico. NEGATIVO. Estéticamente es una pieza grande y estorbosa de aspecto nada agradecido, y con un peso que hace pensar que con el tiempo traera problemas a la placa base. El sistema para conectar los ventiladores al disipador es tedioso y luce frágil y barato. No incluye piezas adicionales. El ruido es considerable. Mas si vienes de una líquida. CONCLUSIÓN. Aunque no ayude al aspecto de tu ensable, no sea super silencioso como prometen, lo cierto es que es una pieza que funciona ESTUPENDAMENTE y que no necesita mayor mantenimiento y que al fallar lo sabras de inmediato porque no giraran o lo haran mal los ventiladores. Lo recomiendo aunque sacrifiques estética y tenga sus matices al instalar porque podría chocar o rozar memorias o, como en mi caso el disipador de la placa base. Necesitará una caja con espacio para instalarse.

This was a perfect fit for my case and it’s a phenomenal cooler—temps are absolutely wonderful (though the fact that I have it in a Lian Li O11 Air Mini synergizes well with an air cooler may factor into that) but as for the noise level? What noise?

The compact format, compared to similar performance coolers, and the fantastic new fans makes this cooler a very good option for those who need this level of performance at a more compact size.

I had a corsair H100i v2, and decided to switch to a premium air cooler. At first I was really skeptical, I love the AIO but after the switch I am very happy. i5 12600k runs 25C idle and 50-55C while playing games. Overall 10/10.

Whoopsie. I was idling at around 38C until I realized I had the fans blowing the wrong way. Now idling at 28C on my hottest core. Intel 12600k CPU (Yes, it comes with the LGA1700 mounting hardware, and the best instructions in the biz). Comes with a small optional cable that is supposed to somehow make the fans run quieter (but possibly lower performance) that I havent tried yet, but its running pretty quiet without it.

Love this cooler. Switched back to air cooling from aio’s and decided to go with this heat sink since I’ve fallen in love with noctua’s fans. This product did not disappoint at all. Easy install, quiet, quality built and packaged, very impressed with temps.
