> 3 dayIf youre considering this fan, then you probably already know of Noctuas stellar reputation. This is now the second CPU cooler of bought of theirs, and Ive also bought several models of their case fans in the past, all to great success.

> 3 dayI upgraded from a ryzen5 1600 with wraith cooler to a ryzen 7 5800x. The wraith can be used but doesn’t keep temps as low as other options. Install was very easy especially if i have AMD as it required being able to use the existing mounting equipment. For $100 its bulky and quiet, no LEDS but does the job. Could spend $130-$200 on liquid cooled options. Worked for me and my budget and needs.

> 3 dayWhat can I say. It’s Noctua. It performs within 1-2 degrees of a D15. But much smaller. So it has great case/video card/ram clearance. Still extremely beefy. Added heat pipes, denser radiator. The best fans. All make this one of the best air coolers available.

> 3 dayGreat upgrade from a tried and true product (NH U12S). Stealthy look is cool but for me I was sick of the ugly brown OG fans from my original NH U12S. Heat sink is larger (thicker) and the fans have an improved blade design. I havent stress tested it to see the performance compared to the OG NH U12S, but a 10% CPU OC on an old FX 8350 is no problem.

> 3 dayNot sure what else you could want from an air cooler. This checks off all the boxes. Keeps temps low and stays quiet. I love the all black look as its very sleek in my all white case. Plenty of ram clearance as well with this bad boy. Worth the investment since two of the 12x25 fans from noctua will cost you 65+ USD alone. Not sure it even needs the exhaust side fan but Im keeping it because 5800X3D runs hot.

Greater than one weekIt works very similarly to D15S on 12700K but it is a lot smaller and better looking and comes with two flagship NF-A12x25 fans that cost $44 each. I am not worried that this would bend the board and break off during movement either. It feels much more stable because of its size. I think most people should skip D15/D15s and buy this instead. The installation is also easier. I also had a chance to try Scythe Fuma 2 Rev B which cost almost half as much. It is similar in size and performs well but not good enough for 12700K imo. It was definitely running hotter during benchmarks. But if you want to save on cost, I would recommend that, not D15S. This is not twice as good as Fuma 2 overall, more like 20% better. Overall I think the heatsink itself is not anything special, its the 2x NF-A12x25s that make it work. I think if you buy two of those and put them on a cheaper tower cooler, it would perform similarly. Most of the money here is going to those two fans.
