NOW Solutions, Avocado Oil, 100% Pure Moisturizing Oil, Nutrient Rich and Hydrating, 16-Ounce

My daughter and I have been using this in place of cream or lotion after shower/face wash. It absorbs into the skin fairly quickly. I do wish it had a pump style dispenser since it can be really easy to pour out too much and can get a little messy. I love that there is no scent at all since I prefer scent less moisturizers that don’t clash with my perfume or body spray. I have notice a huge difference after using this for just a couple of weeks. My skin feels softer and brighter. I highly recommend it!!

While I wish it were ORGANIC, this is a medium-weight oil that does the trick on dry skin. No real smell, and easy to apply. Wish the bottle was darker to protect the oil from light. Works great as a carrier oil for other scents (essential oils). The avocado has so many valuable traits, so this oil helps you get the healthy benefits easily.

I am very happy with the NOW Foods Avocado Oil. I purchased it to help maintain healthy skin and I do not plan to cook with it. I typically have oily/dry combination skin with early effects of sun damage. I had acne as a child and still struggle with break outs at times. My skin is very sensitive and will typically get agitated when using products with lots of chemicals and pore clogging agents. Throughout the day I usually go through at least 2 oil blotting sheets to prevent shine on my face. Also, my nose almost always peels and I usually wake up with dry skin flakes on my face. I use the avocado oil at night before going to bed. I wash my face, apply toner and then use the avocado oil on my face, neck and collar bone areas. It is pretty greasy going on and has a strong nutty smell, but it soaks in pretty fast. By morning, my face is smooth and soft with no oil residue. The transformation is pretty amazing. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical, especially because I do not prefer the smell. I am hoping with time, it will help to eliminate fine lines and heal/minimize blemishes. Since using it, I have not noticed dryness anywhere on my face and it appears the excessive oiliness is reducing as well.

This NOW Foods avocado oil is a great value for the price! I use a lot of essential oils so Im always looking for something to blend my oils with, and this works great. Its much less than the almond, vitamin e or coconut oils and it works just as well. I have also used this on my scalp. I suffer from a dry flaky scalp and nothing seems to help, if I rub a tiny bit of this on my scalp while my hair is still wet after washing it, it seems to keep the flakes away. (Or at least lessens them!) I wouldnt recommend putting it on a dry scalp though, it can leave your hair/scalp looking greasy.

I am very satisfied with the product. I only have one complaint, my package was delivered to the wrong address. It was delivered to 3321 Charles Street which is my neighbors address. It should have been delivered to my address which is 3325 Charles Street.

I originally purchased NOW avocado oil to blend with other oils for my whipped body butter recipes and, indeed, the butters with this oil seemed to penetrate and absorb more quickly. And my skin stayed soft and supple a lot longer. When my homemade butter ran out (and before I found time to make more), I simply starting using the pure avocado oil to moisturize my face, neck, arms, & legs. I was extremely pleased with the results! Then I tried another brand that was cheaper and offered a handy pump--disaster! Awful fishy smell and the skin softening results were nonexistent compared with this NOW brand. And the pump proved messier than the rocker cap opening. I tried to leave a review for the other brand, but the avocado oil is not currently listed among the flavors available. I recently bought another 16oz bottle of NOW avocado oil, and Im happy to report that I am getting the same wonderful results as I had from the first 16oz bottle. Without the fishy smell--or any scent at all in fact. While I noticed that some of the above images for this product by NOW do not specify organic, I will point out that both of bottles I purchased from NOW bear the official USDA organic certified NON-GMO seal, (while the other brand marketed itself as Premium Organic without certification). Now, what to do with the leftover oil from the other brand? I hate to send it to the landfill. Maybe I can add it to my furniture polish recipe--assuming I can cover the fishy smell without making it cloying... ? Any other ideas out there?

I love this brand of products. I purchase several bottles of avocado oil a year for a variety of things. Its great to use as a carrier oil for essential oils. I fill up a glass soap jar with a pump and use the oil to rub into my skin like a lotion after a shower. It absorbs quickly and is perfect for my dry skin. Has no scent, so sometimes Ill put a drop of oil in with it like lavender. Avocado oil has a lot of benefits for the skin.
