I use an older Macbook Pro as a media server in our entertainment credenza. It fits the computer perfectly and securely. It was easy to adjust the allen screws. The base has a nice weight to it. Altogether, Im very happy with the stand.

Really love the fact it saves so much space on my desk, only con is that i have a cover on my macbook pro so it will not sit completely inside but still useable and it is very sturdy and has not fallen once even though it doesnt completely fit

Works perfectly for Dell 7779. No issues with hex key or tightening to proper thickness of laptop. Not as heavy as thought it would be, but more than sufficient to hold laptop vertically and have screen in tablet mode out to 45 degrees without tipping over (I keep mine around 30 degrees). Note, I share a wireless keyboard and mouse between 2 systems and this saves precious space on my desk by giving the laptop the same footprint as a monitor.
